I really liked his comments on Open Mic, but especially this bit on Anderson, saying he needs to be in better shape and no excuses:

Did you get together with Jason Anderson out there?
Yeah, you know, it’s just how he rides. We made amends after supercross and shook hands. It’s not like it’s going to end this season, we’re going to be racing each other for a long time. We both kind of sat each other down and talked it out. We’re on to more racing. I expect him to pass me like that now. He didn’t hit me, he just dove inside. He was going a little faster so it is what it is. One day when I’m in a little better shape I’ll be doing the same thing.

You just know that every time JA comes up behind Cole on the track he gives it that little extra just to stay in his head!

Jason seems to just hammer through regardless of who it is.

I don't know about you guys but I'm a huge fan of both riders. They have such different styles but I enjoy watching them both ride. Cole is so smooth and precise, especially in supercross. But watching JA hammer on Glen Helen like it had stolen his chick was the highlight of the race for me. I look forward to more battles between the two and just hope it doesn't deteriorate into fighting. I'm glad they are at least trying to be civil about it.

^^This^^. JA doesn't care who it is he's passing except for maybe Dungey and Musquin. Outside those two, he'll bang with anybody. But it's all going for passes, not trying to take people out - which I can respect. I also respect that JA and CS both worked things out in the off season and there's no rub between them. It's just racing and I dig it.

I was thinking the same thing. So refreshing to hear a rider say he got tired and will work on it. Just admit it and you will get a lot more respect from the fans in my opinion. Nice to hear and I respect him more now.

Seely is going to show Kroc how to look like a Pro next yr.

The kid is a class act. Honda is lucky to have him.

Honda needs more Cole and less Trey. Be refreshing to get Seely and Roczen together. Honda is going to have a great year next year!

great guy. he also spoke about it that he will put more effort into his training to become a better outdoor rider. he said he may will have a up and down season due to the more work he has to put in but in the longterm it should benefit him for those long motos.

seely is for me personally the biggest surprise in the last couple years. i never ever thought that he would do this good in the 450 class. glad i was wrong.

I am starting to think Jarid was onto something here. Cole is definitely a badass on a bike...and i don't think he's reached his full potential yet either. If he decides to get fit...and get a little chip on his shoulder...he could be a major force to be reckoned with! He has dirt bike skills that a lot of the top pro's wish they had. A little better fitness and some aggression...dude has the potential to light the world on fire! Go Cole!

Why couldn't he train for outdoors - did he get hurt in SX?

Btw...he reminds me a lot of the previous owner of the #14 Honda. Got some KW in him.

I was wondering the same thing. Cole has a factory ride, and should be doing the work that will keep him on a level playing field with the other factory riders. This is not the ideal time to be realizing that he is giving up something to the competition in the fitness department. I wonder how the team feels about this revelation.
In the two races so far this year he has finished 5th in both of the first motos, and 10th in both of the second motos. Still not bad, sitting at 7th in the points.

I see Jarid has given us a good reason. Hopefully Cole can move forward from here. Not a bad start, especially compared to last year.

I thought he had what it took when he was still a nobody to me on Suzuki City all those years ago. Didn't really predict he'd make it as far as he has, but I knew he was going somewhere. Definitely impressed with his outdoor rides so far this year.

Have to be realistic in Cole's situation. Can't just make it to Jason's level on a high step in a week.

I think Seely is awesome and I'm a huge fan, but he needs to hit the weight room and boost his testosterone a little bit. he always looks a little bit timid out there, if he turns up the weight lifting and maybe eats a little bit more, it would be the ultimate package to win races, sort of like Windham.

All things eventually come to an end & even though we're going our separate ways professionally you're still one of my boys & I'll be cheering for u from the sidelines. Thanks for trusting in me & giving me the opportunity to work with you. It's been awesome to share some success and watch you grow. Keep pinning it and good luck with the rest of the season. Hope to see u on the box soon."
