Fast kid from north Carolina. He was a Kawasaki team green am and this is his rookie year. Sucks he went down while running 4th in his heat!

It didn't show it on tv but sipes went back after the moto to check on him. Thought it was pretty classy that he was concerned

ya the crash was right in front of me and he was unconscious for over a minute. looked rough

Just got done watching that and jumped on here. He had to of knocked himself out. He just rolled down the berm all limp. Tough to watch.

man....that poor kid hit the ground hard! Glad he is ok. I cringed when I saw it.......God I hate seeing bad wrecks like that.

I was thinking that after the finish line it looked like he was going over to him. That was crazy and i'm glad that he is ok. Sipes got lucky on that one. looked like they hit while in the air a little.

I've grown up racing with Cody since I was five. He's a tough one, and he'll be strong next week. Good luck buddy.

I was taking care of Cody this weekend and let me tell you I had no idea how bad that was until I watched it last night after we got home. All I remember was seeing Cody and Sipes go into the corner and Sipes came back out. I couldn't see anything because of the finish line. Them the race is over and they bring me his bike and I am asking, " is he alright". They reply with a casual, " I don't know". I start freaking a little now and am like wtf do you mean you don't know? What a weekend, for everyones info Cody is alright just a mild concussion and he took some goodies and started feeling better that night. He is taking the week off but is going to do all of his off the bike training at South of the Border. He will know how bad it was this morning when he breaks a sweat and gets his heart rate up. Unfortunate accident and all part of the learning curve, but i am very proud of Cody in only his second SX race to be riding like he was is awesome.

Glad to hear Cody is doing well.

What most dont realize is that this happens all the time when the riders are practicing during the week......we just dont hear about it.
