I wouldn't unless you have money to burn. It's going to tear your boots and pants up...

Precisely. I use it on my frame, but I wouldn't go any higher.

eBay or Amazon is pretty cheap. Just normal skateboard or long board clear grip tape.

If you up them only to the hit of your boot, it will save your pants.

Local skate shop will have some. I think I paid like $7 for a 3ft long sheet of clear grip tape.

It was all over bikes at Seattle SX.

For some reason clear grip tape never had good grip or adhesion when it came to skateboards. A good brand like jessup (black) will flex and stick better.

I've tried grip tape before and the only time I even noticed it was when I looked at my boots after riding. I think I'm going to give Stegz pegz a try. MXA gave them a pretty good review. I think they look kind of goon-ish and I hate the spelling of the name, but if the work, maybe it'll be worth the ridicule.

I have found the BEST of both worlds and got it at an OSH Hardware store. Its gray rubberized grip tape. Not only is it super cheap but the textured surface offers exceptional grip as well as it being rubber that also helps with the grip. As for durability it lasts forever on my airbox, had it on there 2 seasons and its just now starting to loose the texture and become smooth yet still grips just as good bec of the rubberized material. The adhesive is great and won't peel off AND it won't do any damage to your boots or gear.

Go to Hydroturf.com and look a the closeout sheets of turf. Buy a 4x5 sheet for $40 or so and cut your own to your hearts content. 3m spray adhesive works excellent for sticking it to bikes. 3m also works good if your current graphics/grip tape/whatever start coming off................

I feel like the rougher, cheaper stuff would be better for this application. Jessup is the only choice for skating of course, but I think it's too fine for this.

Do you have a link for this rubber grip tape? I have tried looking for it and can't find it.

I just got a sheet from factoryeffex. Gonna put it on tomorrow. It's medium grip which they recommend for the air box because it's less abrasive.
