Check this one out! I just came across a ton of old videos! They are mostly videos from New England NESC expert races in the 80s and 90s but this one was in there also. I'm uploading a ton now!

Cool video Chris,But I think Fink was 1982 500 rookie of the year,The race looks to be from 1982 or 1983 judging by the bikes,I saw a 1983 Husky racing but it could of been in 1982 just a early released bike i guess.

Wasn't John a W.V. coal miner in the off-season? I met him through George Quay at Keystone MX. Check out the amount of 2 stroke haze there is at they wait for the start. No mosquito's there

His dad owned a trash hauling company,That was part of John's training,He ran from stop to stop alot of the time and then lifted the trash barrels up and dumped them in the truck,He was the Hulk lol Paul Buckley has some cool shots of him racing the NESC series here in New England.

JF was a trash truck driver. He'd treat his job as training, hoisting trash cans all day.

Yeah your right I just looked it up. He was the 1982 Rookie of the Year in the 500CC class. So do you think that race was 1983?
I have no idea.
