I only have a few of my good buddy Tom Cosley legendary pictures.
Have not been able to get ahold of him. :-(
but check this one out how many stars can you name there's a bunch.
Sorry for the poor quality it was a hand-me-down that my other buddy just gave me.

Saddleback?
It might be easier to get ahold of him if you spelled his name correctly though ...
Here's his Facebook page

#24 Barnett? (no sure, hair looks like him but not so much the body)
spill it its killin me.
The Shop
This looks more like a 125 National from 1978 rather than a GSS race. I think Barnett always did the Florida Winter Series instead of GSS.
Well you are wrong and you can ask Tom Corley he knew who Tom Cosley was.
( Warren Reed) ?
But yes it was a CMC Golden State national race.
I raced it as well and Tom Cosley took this picture as he went to the races with me.
Tom Corley was a pretty popular photographer back then and shot pics at most of those races. I don't have a Facebook to ask him, but I bet he could help you find him. Sorry, I was just trying to help. Pretty coincidental with the similarities in their names.

At one point in the middle of my moto they just started flagging us around an uphill downhill horseshoe. Finally a couple motos later I think it was Stu who just unrolled a section of chained link fence down the uphill, so we could get traction!
I remember sitting in the cab of a mini truck between motos just soaked in the pouring rain, parked right behind a factory Honda box van with either O'Mara, Bailey, Magoo or one of the factory guys all toasty dry and warm with a friken propane heater - that was factory equipment as far as I was concerned.
Wait....Pawtectors are just regular gloves, I was thinking about the old JT gardening gloves with all the latex dots on them for mud. That's what got me started on a Sandhill mud race - never mind posting anyway LOL
Pit Row
The TonyD Mudder, The DG, JT and MotoXFox stickers.
The 5 snap visor.
The Hallman gloves
The Andre' bars.
The only thing missing is the Gunner Gasser, cause you know those are Scott goggles with a face mask.
When he said "legendary" I figured he meant Corley for sure.
After he corrected me, I googled the legendary Cosley guy, but came up with nothing....
I did a few races on my 75 RM125, but did not start racing on a regular basis until 77.
And thanks to my good buddy Tom Cosley I had my own personal photographer a lot of times.
I was very lucky to have such a good friend and riding bud that lived in our cul-de-sac. I really need to try to find him.
His photo stash would be incredible!
I feel so lucky to have growing up in the Golden Age of Motocross I think about it a lot.....
Another guy telling me who my good childhood friend was, sorry Bob it was Tom Cosley.
Here's one from the Escape Country National that Tom took.
That track was freaking incredible I don't think there was a flat piece of turf anywhere on the track!
Real frickin Motocross as far as I'm concerned I'm not even sure if it had a big jump.
raced all those tracks..plus Deanza..
Did Corley ever do any thing with the SoCal MX news website ? Last I looked its the same 8 or 10 issues. I enjoyed looking thru those and remember the races I did and seeing my name in results and some articles.
