Does anybody have a link or copy of this article? I have done some searching and can't find it. I need a good laugh and this article delivers.

On that note, does anyone have the write up in racer x that ping did about that "supercross" in Hawaii? I remember vaguely how their bikes got ruined on the shipment home because the red clay sat in the storage containers dirty for like a month....

Would love to read that one gaain

I think Ping had video of him riding that thing on a practice track somewhere. Yeah it was pitiful. Looked like an xr250 with the motor from an xr50 in it

That was awesome. I've never heard any of that before. The part about him starting the race and heading down the start straight was absolute gold

If any of you have ever hung out with Ping in real life he is just as witty and fun. Many many moons ago way back in the late 90's a magazine started called RacerX. I was trying to get Ping to finish his shit up before we hit a smooth as glass jet ski moto session on the Missouri river in Great Falls MT. It was the early conception of Electronic Ping. We sat down to hurry up and finish the article in hopes many would laugh at it just as we did that day. Dude is a funny cat in the most sarcastic of ways for sure. If you get a chance he's a hoot in the real world too. But for real, I got some dirt stories on that guy. LOL. Some of them aren't even that clear in my memory banks...

Are you one of the guy's Ping has mentioned having a copy of the calendar? If so, you know what you need to do...

this was all at a glen helen national, I forget the year, but I remember watching him go up mt. st helens, stopping halfway up and jumping off it like he said.
I can still picture it. Ping in the middle of the mountain trying to figure out what to do next as bikes came whizzing by.
it was a sad sight.
