Changes at Gatorback?

Looks like the Gatorback folks have been at work. Redesigned sx track and clearing lots of trees behind it, looks like a new mx track (or two) being built in back? Anybody local have more info/pics?

Yeah, a blessing and a curse at the same time. Good for MX but bad for Hare Scrambles. They clear cut all the trees so our HS races won't be held there anymore.... ;-(( So little woods left, that we've moved on. I really enjoyed the MX and SX being incorporated in the HS races...

My avatar pic was for last year's HS at Gatorback... Loved the climbs and descents...

MAYBE a National back to FL someday????

Look, I live in TN and have raced at Muddy Creek for a while. I also attend the National each year, but we really need to start rotating Southeast tracks in the Nationals.

Davey Coombs, if you are listening, Monster Mountain, Gatorback, Road Atlanta, Barber. All still great options! Time to take it back to 2012 and visit some more facilities and owners again!

If you want to nit pick it, Muddy Creek is just a stones throw from being in Virginia, which, according to this map is in the Northeast Region. But please don't move that race because I'm just under 3 hrs from there!

There has to be a line somewhere.
I agree with oshow that we need a national in one of the states South of there also. Notice I said also because I want to keep Muddy Creek on the schedule.

So many great tracks you could hold a national at but we're stuck watching the bikes in a stadium for half the year..

It blows my mind everytime I think about Muddy Creek being a National. That track is garbage compared to Monster Mountain.
