Cheap Steel sprockets will be cheapest and last long just weigh more, id spend more money on the chain I have good luck with the better Regina non oring chain lasting long time with minimal adjusting, also rk better non oring or did really I've had good luck with most higher end non oring chains lol

I know I will probably get blasted for this, but I really like the Primary Drive stuff from RM. Steel sprockets and X ring chain combo for under $90. And I can attest that the combo held up better than the Mika set I tried that cost a lot more. Sure, the aluminum sprocket is lighter, but the only place I felt a difference was in my wallet.

And to be clear, I am in no way bagging on Mika products. Their sprocket held up just as good as other top brand aluminum sprockets I have tried........ I have just had better luck with steel and it just so happens they are cheaper in better bang for your buck which is what the OP was asking.

Do not listen to anyone who says they're junk; they are awesome products for the money. I believe they are made by a name brand chain manufacturer from what I've read on other sites (must be true). I have used Primary Drive for the past few years and I have not had one issue. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

I was given a Tag sprocket while riding a 450 and with a fresh chain and sprocket it last about 25 hours. That's good if you ask me.

I always run DID ERT2 non oring chains and a ktm front sprocket. I got 20 hours outta renthal aluminum and same for pro taper.

IN MY OPINION, if you just put lube on your chain and don't clean your shit, you have no right to bitch. Cleaning your sprocket and chain with proper products will enhance the life of them.

We've had success with RK MXZ chain
DRC racing sprocket which is a steel rear sprocket which is closer to aluminum weight
Countershaft sprocket is whatever works.

Used Primary drive too and have no complaints but DRC is more durable.

Primary Drive gold o-ring chain on a set of good sprockets (renthal, prox, etc). The primary drive aluminum sprockets seem to wear out quickly for me and wear poorly compared to how a renthal wears.

I will disclose that I am on a two stroke. When I rode a four stroke I used the primary drive X ring chain and steel rear sprocket.

Funny, I saw you there last Monday. My buddies Wes, Craig and I were out there riding. If want/need someone to ride with there I am always looking for people to ride with, I live about a mile and a half from 360. When the wether is ok, I usually ride from my garage to the trails.

I run inexpensive aluminum rear and steel front sprockets and a high quality chain. Its the chain that wears and takes out the sprockets.

My buddy is in the middle of a return on a supersprox rear, 10hrs, cracked from two of the bolts outwards. Obviously it can happen to anywhere but anything spooky happening to drive stuff is scary!

I have used Renthal chains and sprockets for years, I cannot say I've had any issues with anything wearing prematurely.

Use a cheap aluminum rear and a cheap o ring chain. Never ever wash the chain,wire brush and wd40 to clean.

I'd be checking bolt taper and dirt buildup on bolt in taper or even dirt on hub face behind sprocket.

Dirt Tricks sprockets look a lot like the Iron Man sprockets, both have the spider web look, less material. I snapped an Iron Man on a 450, which threw the chain in the case; resulting in a destroyed clutch housing...was not cheap. From that point on, I decided that I will only use a sprocket that makes a continuous circle.

Also is the rk mxz gold chain a good choice ? Ik it's the chain pro circuit Kawasaki uses. Any opinions on it
