Chad Reed - Finke desert race 2018/19?

Yeah it's click bait but with Andrew Short about to take on Dakar it makes you wonder how some of these dudes would go in wide open off road events. They have the skills no doubt. Guys like Short are effectively having second pro careers and you can't say that's a bad thing. For those that don't know the Finke Desert race is like the Bathurst 1000 for motorcycle racers in Aus. Don't flame me it's the off season remember!

Yes fair points and an unlikely event that it would ever happen. Just interesting now that Shorty has now gone even further a field with Dakar. You can't really say anything about money as a motivational factor for these guys to do events like this as im sure they are very comfortable financially. More for the passion of racing a motorcycle as we are going to see this year when Chad lines up again. Which is actually really cool when you think of it like that, litterly out there because he loves the sport and to race.

Finke no, but would be good to see one of our current top MX guys kick it old school and line up at Finke. Someone summon their inner Gally and hit up Finke during the MX Nationals series!

Surprised not of the top MX guys have not taken at least a crack at Hattah, some decent prize money up for grabs in what is pretty much a sand MX track with a couple of long straights thrown in to hook up sections of the properties used.

Though looking at the 18 MX Nats calander, looks like the events will clash again this year!
