Would make more sense if it was Alpinestars.

His boot definitely snagged and did all the damage, i'm afraid.

I thought I was replying to the video thread in the previous post (on a phone). That 3rd and 4th photo does not look good Sad

Definitely looks like this foot peg.

Got caught in the boot mesh vent.

It's not what caused the crash, but it may have changed the outcome.

Look how the shifting area of his boot is wedged in part of the engine. Think that played a part too?

There's a big reason old school boots where so smooth. All the extra bullshit is only a good opportunity to get hooked up on the bike.

Yes I think you're right.

think about it for a second. the studs on the peg are facing up but his ankle is caught on the underside of the peg. eveyone knows what happens to a footpeg when you push on the bottom. The key is he caught his toes under the plastic engine cover guard and between that and the foot peg, it grabbed his whole boot.

would have happened wearing any other boot too.

Look at his left boot. The white plastic on the back by his heel looks like it's coming loose, like where the peg would have been caught. Also the strap doesn't look as secure as the right boot. When I saw it live and in replay I could tell something was hooked, you could even seen it twist his knee when it wouldn't release. Damn.

Yeah yeah, and the tread is more worn out on his left boot than on his right one. If you look close enough, you can even see the HRC logo from the foot pet imprinted on the back of his boot!!!

You guys are hilarious
