Chad Reed: Class Act (Kyle Regal)

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 2:41am
Did anyone see Chad Reed's podium move when Regal was being interviewed? What a class act. Reed moved Regal's sweat rag off of his goggle strap so it could be seen in the video. What other pro would do that for another racer. He knew how important it would have been for Regal and took charge. Way to go Chad, and congrat's to Regal for a hell of a rdie.

I saw it and immediately gained a new level of respect for Chad Reed. Helping out the new kid who just passed you twice in that moto. Classy indeed!

Yeah it was pretty awesome. Chard parental instincts are in rare form these days. He really seems to be taking on the father of mx roll in every way. From speaking up about the tracks to protect people to fixing their goggles on the podium.

Also the way he talked about RD at the presser was pretty cool too. The guy is really a good dude.

Betcha it would be a different picture if he had to undergo a Barcia bashing.

Dude tells it like it is and gives props where due.

I can see through him, but there's a lot about Chad Reed I really like.

Chad jsut seems to be happier all around, on and off the track. Guess its hard not to be when he is leading the series and has his new little boy Tate and of course Ellie to come home to.

That was a great thing to see and gave me a lot more respect for Chad!

My guess is getting the check from the sponsor has to do with the company's logo being visible during the interview and Chad knew this and lent the young gun a helping hand.

Still a James fan but I'll be cheering for Chad at High point. Chads attitude and role in the sport this year, you just can't help but like the guy. Fatherhood definately changes how you look at things and react to things in life. GO Chad!

Just saw that for the first time....Chad is a fucking CLASS ACT! I didn't care for him to much in years past , as he just seemed to rub me the wrong way. But now....I'm so happy he's out there racing and doing what he does best! seriously......what other rider would have done the goggle/sweat rag thing like that for a fellow competitor? that's class man.....all the way!

Notice how he was quick to point out that "it was the same for everybody" instead of just commenting about the shadows and difficulty seeing.

Would you please get rid of that avatar?

Looking at pictures of deformed people does nothing for me.

Always been a fan of Reed, the guy speaks his mind and lets the chips fall where they may.

That goggle logo thing was a class move all the way.

Wow, just now watched that clip. Thats a professional right there, good form Chad !

It sure seems from the outside that Chad is just plain ole happier these days. I hope he gives Ryan a run next week and its close racing.

Reed is aging like a fine wine. I doubt he'll stay around as long as Windham but he is gaining a following like Kevin.

That was very cool of him to make a small gesture like that to Regal and I hope he noticed it.

That was a gesture of respect from Chad. I can promise you, Kyle has Reeds respect.
And yeah, Chad has matured a lot throught the years and has turned in to a good elder spokesman for the sport. All he needs to do now is take the high road with Stewart.
Just ride your race and do what you can Chad. Leave it at that man...

Took 4 seconds for mine to pee on me.

I wasn't complaining though.

I think it has to do with him winning. With RC and Stewart gone, Reed is confident and winning even outdoors. Being the competitive person that he is - he now doesn´t have to cry in his 18wheeler anymore over not being the fastest or keeping up with the top2 - he IS the top guy now, and I think he deserves it. He is the ONLY person who wasn´t willing to accept RC and JBS being faster. He never rolled over and accepted 2nd as 1st because the others were impossible t beat.
Good on him, and it´s great to see him enjoying all the hard work that has peid off!
