I bough some stuff via Ebay, but the deal went sour because the seller missed to check the fee out, or he looked at the wrong place? According to Canadian post office, shipping an YZ tank to Sweden, or even the US cost $ 300 (US) $ 350 to Sweden if you do the shipping calc on their page? This can't be right? Any experience using them? U canucks using different ones shipping stuff to the US?

I seen this on Ebay the other night maybe it can help you and your seller.

my guess is you don't have a broker and those fees are included in the costs you quoted.

Its easy to ship between the US and Canada. And, to Sweden. I sent mod Yamaha snowmobile engines to Customers in Sweden for about that, and it was 100lbs!

Which service did you use? Shipping from the US to Sweden is about $60 via USPS, I figure it's the same cost would fly in Canada?

Crazy thing is when I go to Canada Ebay, search for similar items, the shipping to Sweden via "Standard Int'l Shipping" can go down to as low as US $40.00. But it's not specified what service they use...

I have bought 3 sets of plastics once in the UK (I live in Canada) and it cost less than a $100 to ship. Don't remember the number but it wasn't much more than shipping from the US or even within Canada really.

It's just as bad shipping from the US to Canada. UPS wanted $150.00 to ship a 20lb UTV bumper that only cost $300.00. We had to cancel that order also.

Those Ebay Calculators can be way high.

USA to Sweden I figured 8 pounds.

USPS
Priority Mail® International
Max. length 60", max. length plus girth combined 108"
6 - 10 business days
$55.85

It has all gone up in the last six months though.

But that's USPS. I have no issue with US fees, compared to Sweden they are a bargain. Canada to Sweden seems to be an issue. One guy said Ebay gives you discount, but I still don't get how the price offered via Ebay for some can decrease from 350 to 60 just because you go to another site?

Something is strange here...

Oh, I missed the from Canada part, my bad. Used to it did cost a little more to ship direct from Ebay's seller page to somewhere, now it is the same. I still think the calculator was messed up and your seller didn't know what to do.

Go on the shippers site and get an estimate and it will be fairly accurate. I used to ship tons of stuff over to Europe and Scandinavia and I can tell you that 300 bucks is waaay out of line.

Send the tank to my place. I will try it out for you and give a full report. Then brother in law ( Swede ), can bring it to Stockholm for you. CoolCoolCoolLaughing does this every two months.Evil
