Based on watching the races, I don't think anybody can beat this guy.

Can he? Yes
Will he? No probably not.

While he doesn't have a track record for crashing or anything, I just do not see going a full 24 moto season without a crash/bike problems/or just some kind of bad luck in general. I know its been done before but thats when someone could start dead last and come back to win. Even with tomacs speed right now I do not see him being able to go down in say the first turn, gets up in last (while dungey has the holeshot), and coming all the way back to pass him.

Remember these threads a couple years ago when it was JS7 and Dungey going at it the first 4 motos...

He had a minute and a half gap at Hangtown.
not saying he will go 24-0; that is almost impossible given the difficulty of this sport and the talent of the top 5 or 10 guys. but.....

I'm an Eli fan, but he needs to lose a moto so we don't have to deal with this thread every week. If one thread about it isn't enough, it seems like there's been multiples for the past couple of weeks.

There's still twenty motos left in the season. We are less than twenty percent of the way through the series. That's a lot of time for a lot of things to happen. Can't we just sit back and watch the season unfold without asking the same question every week?

That moto, not a doubt in my mind he could have come from dead last to win. Hell he could have just pushed his bike for half a lap or so and still come back Wink

For real? Let's wait another week before we start this again. How about 6-0. Stamp it.

If Dungey, Roczen, Peick, Benjamin Button, Anderson, Barcia, Reed, Grant & Dustin Pipes are not allowed to race the rest
of the series, I say yes, if his bike starts...

If anything happens to Dungey where he's forced to sit out the season, then I'd say yes. With Dungey still racing, he won't win them all, but at the moment without injury I think he can win 18+ motos.

Yes next week we might have 6-0 is his "home" race.

After that I guess the competition will be rough they might be dialed in by than.
#5 is coming closer
#94 can go as fast as Tomac but not 30 minutes right now.

Big Eli fan here, but.......

My money is on Dungey for the championship as it was for sx........Consistency wins championships and eli has been everything other then that. Dungey on the other hand is consistent as hell. On eli's good days though, nobody is gonna beat him as we saw the last two weeks.

24-0 Not a chance, but I would love to see it.

Let's see how relevant this thread becomes if he can carry 1-1's through Muddy Creek. 6-0? Yes. Thunder Valley is his home race. Can he carry it through the races that follow? We'll see.

I witnessed Tomac live at Hangtown and currently NO ONE is in his league. Obviously, this can quickly change. The probability that Tomac goes 24-0 is slim. If he does, this may be a bigger feat than RC and Bubba. Tomac's competition is legendary --- Dungey, Roczen.

Stay in the moment - one moto out of a time.

I always remember the night he crashed 3 times in the main in 2013 on the 250. I think it was oakland.

Yes it was a long time ago, but it is that inconsistency that has plagued him. He rode like a C rider that night.

Then remember what he did at MXDN I think it was two years ago. He rode kamikazee style and was amazing.

Same issues in the earlier part of this SX season.

Always a pleasure to watch. He is an animal on the bike.

Dungey on the other hand, his consistency is mind blowing. IF it wasn't for RV, we would probably have a 6 time champion. The guy just never goes down.......He definitely deserves way more respect then he gets.

Yep that inconsistency was a real plague in 2013

Who is disrespecting Dungey? Dunge DOMINATED the 2015 Supercross series. Bottom line, Dunge could not beat RV. I have stated this numerous times, Dunge is RV's Wardy (mirrors the RJ vs Wardy era). A comparison to Wardy is pretty damm good.
