Sad for him, that was a bad landing. Hope he will get some offer anyways!

I was surprised to see him on a ktm instead of a kawi. What was the deal with that? Did his kawi get stolen, and a buddy had a ktm to borrow?

Hope the kid gets back to it. He's had a great career if he wanted to hang up the boots though.

Huge bummer. Doesn't look good for his return to US racing, or pro racing at all... Wouldn't be surprised to see him call it quits at this point.

Haha dude keep up with the play (it was all over the boards in the last month) CP is riding the 350 with help from KTM's largest dealer in France (who also sponsored CP when he was an amateur) apparently he really likes the bike and considers a 450 to powerful

Don't know the full extent of his injuries.....but I would guess shoulder / collar bone , possibly ribs and maybe a concussion? It looks like his head hit pretty hard. Really hoping it didn't mess with his back at all since it's been broken in the past. "Hopefully" he just got banged up and nothing broke....but damn....that was a hard hit! Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Did you do yours riding?
With the right fall it doesn't look like it takes much to burst. CP's fall looked bad, but not worse than a lot you see at other races. I'm surprised James hasn't had had internal injuries after some of his crashes.

Get well soon Christophe.

I took handlebars to the soft spot just south of my lower ribs.. Abdominal cavity swelled like a balloon. I was lucky to get out alive, I really hope Christophe is okay

What a bummer. He wasn't a favorite of everyone, but hate to see someone injured. I loved his style on a bike, and hope he heals up fast!!!

It's too bad that some track surfaces are so hard and like pavement. Get well soon Christophe.

I was wondering what happened to him after seeing a facebook photo in the E.R.. Man, that wreck was brutal and it is a bummer to hear about his spleen.

I'm a big fan of the guy and admire his comeback after his injury, coming over to America to race. His riding style is something else. Though I believe he is misunderstood by a lot of American fans, I sure do miss watching him ride over here in the states.

Maybe his next step is enduro. Why not? Keep racing a dirt bike, get payed and not suffer the high risk of supercross.

And yes, I know enduro is also risky.

I am the only one to think that didn't look that bad? Can't argue with the result, ruptured spleen is scary. Get well soon.

I will wait for the official release personally

(BTW that initial link above is stupid, posting the vid is one thing - guessing he has a ruptured splene is something totally different ) NOT THE PERSON POSTING BUT THE SITE HOSTING THE VID

Here is a translation of his note to people on his Facebook page

'Here is the news, I have a fracture and I'll be in 'intensive' care for the next 10 days. Go to the after race party and take lots of photos. I'd love to see you all.'

Here's the post-op photo. He did have a ruptured spleen like it was said by the press in Bercy.

I just tipped over and that was it. Mine was glued back together just in time. Internal injuries are freaky!
