CP377 Reaction to Barcia's wreck.

Edited Date/Time 11/24/2014 1:52pm
CP was riding well again this weekend until he F'd that section resulting in Barcia going down.

For all those people who think CP is all about himself, that was obviously not the case this weekend.

You could tell as soon as the restart happen he was pretty shaken up of what had resulted to Barcia. I would of liked to see a second good race from him, but understand would be a tough pill to swallow thinking you hurt a guy.

I don't know how these guys can get their heads back in the game after something like that. If I were Tomac, I don't know if I could have made the restart, much less ride as well as he did.

Felt really bad for pourcel because people in the chat were thinking that he crossed jumped on purpose and clearly was not the case...

I think honestly was a freak accident and hope everyone is alright.

You could see it when he passed Barcia the lap after the crash. He was really concerned. I thought he would be affected for the restart and he was ...

That's why they race at the top level, they're good enough to handle things like that..I see crap happen at local races and it effects me even after I do everything I can to block it out

Christophe's looking back in obvious concern for Justin, and Tomac backing off noticeably from the pace he was riding at after the incident show clearly both riders were effected emotionally by seeing Barcia still on the track.

Very similar to what happened to Reed & Roczen earlier this year in SX.
That was just a racing incident and this was 1 too.
Sure CP377 feels bad, wouldn't you?
Roczen felt it too, and Reed harbors no bad feelings towards him.
Glad to see it wasn't worse, but again, that's what happens when your racing
and racing at such a high level.

Hope Justin is ok.

Bad deal, things like that happen by accident in close racing.

it's nice to see concern and respect from fellow competitors.

From Barcia's tweets, sounds like he thinks CP377 crossed jump to try and block him.

out of every professional motocross rider in the world- pourcel is probably the least likely candidate to risk injuring other riders/ himself! cant believe barcia would think that! he's obviously effected alot more than most by crashes/ injuries

Pourcel was going inside-inside in those turns. He did everything right.

Pourcel was leading, nothing can be his fault, it's up to the party following to judge correctly.

Is he supposed to have eyes in the back of his head?!

Racing incident - think when Barcia sees video, his opinion will change. Barcia is a lucky man.

Please explain how it could possibly be pourcels fault?
I fail to see your logic

Hey dude, bd's comment is agreeing with yours. He's saying when Barcia see's the video, then maybe he won't blame CP377. I wish Barcia would see it that way, but I doubt it. He is pretty immature.

Nothing has ever been Barcia's fault...
CP did what you're taught to do as a racer, and Barcia did not. When you're that close, you need to show some patience and settle down a little.
Just my opinion.

all barcias fault imo. Pourcel (and not only him) rode that line everytime they had to protect the inside or pass someone.
Barcia was lucky it was Tomac that was behind him because he was the only guy to jump the quad, it would have been worse to have someone jump the triple and land right on his body

Kind of a rookie move on Barcia's part IMO, sometimes you don't think 100% clearly in the heat of the battle though. I'm very happy he's going to be fine.
