Does anyone have any info on if he is getting a 450 ride next year for SX? He is far and away the best supercross rider to never race a 450 main, the shorter races don't tax his body as much I am hoping he gets a decent ride for SX. I think he could do more damage indoors than out.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Valli in there running the same show as they are now with him.....just speculating.

His relaxed smoother style is better fitted for a 450 anyways.

i really think that it would be a complete game changer if Pourcel got a good trainer and spent the months following the nationals really building up his strength and conditioning base. He shows that he is a better pure rider than everyone else every week.

Not sure his body can handle the 450, but would be fun to watch.
He's got a load of natural ability, but can't really train like you need to for the 450's..

who says he can't train? This isn't 2009. He has said multiple times that he doesn't feel the same effects as he once did.

He isn't getting any younger, if you guys want him on a good team on a 450, I would say it has to happen next year.

Unfortunately not setting the world on fire and fading every week on the 250 probably doesn't raise your stock to much to get a good 450 ride.

Can he ride west or east coast or is he pointed out? He got 2 championships but maybe the system was launched after his championships

He's put in strong rides for about 25 minutes. He has great speed. His practices have been incredible. Teams need to talk to him and work out a training program for him.

Let's think about this: sprint speed (how many Oakley bombs this year?), great starts, and even if he does fade at 25 minutes, that's not really an issue in any SX other than Daytona. Solid top-five potential I would think.

If he is racing the Nationals on a 250F means to me that he feels something is missing (the title that he lost twice when he almost had it), so best for him, I believe would be Valli or JGR or even Monster Kawi alongside Millsaps Supercross 450, and then Nationals 250F, as he won't have it this year.

I think it's interesting hearing about his physical state. Everyone talks about his fitness but Matthes or Weege mentioned the other week that talking to Christophe, apparently, physically, in terms of all his injuries etc, he's much much better than what he was in 09/10, so theoretically he'll continue to increase his fitness etc.

You always hear riders say it's hard to make gains during the season, perhaps he'll build and now that his issues are lessened he'll be better with some more prep?

450 ride would be some motivation too i'd imagine. I'm glad he's back, love watching him ride!

Anyone know what Marvin is doing next year? Heard little Hill was signed at KTM. Does that mean Mushi is out?

I think even after not racing SX since 2010 that he could jump back in and be top 5 threat and possibly more. One of the top 5 lites SX riders of all time IMO.

PB.....I'm with you on this. His effortless style "kind of " reminds me of what Cole Seely does. As in.....he doesn't use much energy throwing the bike around.

I think on a 450 indoors......he would be pretty dang good. I don't know who would be willing to give him the chance.....but ( and this is my opinion ).....I think he'll wants to stay on 250's. ( I could be wrong on that ) I think he likes riding them more because the 450 may cause him to wear out sooner. Even in a 15-18min SX main , I think the 450 is something that may be more than what he's willing to train for.

I see CP staying in the lites class for as long as he's able.

Much like Musquin, Pourcel is getting stronger by the race. With his starts, I expect him to win a moto before the end of the season. Musquin too, for that matter.

Dude is one of the funnest riders to watch. I really hope we get to see him on a 450 again, he would bring a lot of excitement to that class.

I don't know on this one. Like everything with CP377 all you can do is wonder, have high hopes or just guess. Unfortunately I believe that like all other great riders in the past (MC, JMB, RC, JS, etc.) the sport evolves and passes them by. When did CP377 ever go from holey to 6th. It seems obvious that the other (younger) guys have taken things to the next level. As with everything competition breeds improvement. CP 377's tactics are old hat now and what worked in 09 and 10 is no longer effective.

But I still hope he flat out smokes everyone this weekend.

I hope he will stay at Valli.

He looks confortable on this YZF. (well, although fading from the 20 minutes mark, showing this winter was not spent over training). He likes the people at Valli too. He said several times he is happy with the bike, plus his practice times & set up gets great starts which is 75% of the race in SX. I think there is here a combo for many 450 SX podiums in the years to come.

I think he's pointed out of 250sx after Winning two titles.

Right now he is clearly top 4-7, but that is pretty obvious it is a fitness issue. The winter was not spent training with Baker whereas stamina comes from the winter preparation (at that time he had no ride). Even in the first lap he looks in cruise control to avoid to be in his red zone, so ... for next season I would not count him out that easily to take some moto wins or more podiums in the 250 class Outdoor.

Keep in mind Cole Seely will be riding for Factory Honda on a 450, indoors and out.

Pourcel annihilates him every week.

Maybe , just maybe, him and Valli will get a 450 with factory support much like the 250 if indeed he wants to run SX

I missed the wilson to KTM deal , wow.
