So guys what's Rattrays excuse for being in the small bore class for 10 years? 01,,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09 and now 2010...I thought it was 9 but just looked it up. It's 11.. He actually raced some Dutch and Euro championship races on 2000 and qualified for his first GP in 01

I think, had someone been willing to pay him, Pourcel would have been in the big boys class this year.

Well personally, I think a pro is a pro and don't really buy into the whole "sandbaggin" thing. And to be fair, Pourcel was injured for 2 of his 7 seasons. But damn it is funny to hear people get defensive about it!

As someone said on here, "Gp's are slower than loretto's c class". So what's wrong with CP being in the lites. Two years ago, most of you didn't think he would top ten.

Eating your words.........

That is true, and it is unfortunate that Pourcel never rode any supercross in Europe like BC or any others....Whistling

Please produce a single post where someone from 2 years ago said he would not top ten. Thank you in advance.

My point is that green eggs and ham will NEVER measure up to the new econometric measuring schematic...EVER.

2004 was on a 125 2t and he didn't make the world championship, just 2-3 mxgp races.
His real first pro season that's in 2005.
He missed out end of 2007 and all 2008.
And 2010 is his second year of supercross (in europe he never rode supercross since 2005, except Bercy 2006, and he has almost never practiced).

If the 125/lites class had remained what its original intent was ,I would agree with the sandbagger coments. As the class is now,Pourcel is not sandbagging, hes just better than the rest of the field.

CP has pretty much turned into a great American rider/racer.
Hopefully Seb will follow him over here someday. Wink

If you are going faster then the guys in the premier class then you should be in the premier class. I said the same thing about James when he was winning the half bike class by 30 seconds a moto (which was wayyyyyyyyyy worse). What's the fucking point beating up on the kids when you can move up and prove to the world who the man is?

DV is talking about SX....
(he should know-he has been there and done it)
CP hasn't really been racing SX all that long.
What is this??? His second full season (a few getting his feet wet races also)?
IMO 2 full seasons on the Lites in SX and then move up.

Obviously DV12 knows more then I do here, but to me it just seems like a waste not having the fastest guy racing in the premier class. That's all.

this thread is one reason i'd like mx to be more like stick and ball. Football, baseball, hockey basketball all give guys time to develop, mx , if your not a god by the time your 20, your getting looked over to the 15 yr old coming up.
