Law enforcement officials seized $250,000 worth of counterfeit “Monster Energy” motocross helmets and arrested two people at a business near Avenue Stanford Thursday morning.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Community Partnerships Bureau, Counterfeit and Piracy Enforcement Team, served a search warrant at 7 a.m. in the 28100 block of Stanford Avenue that was allegedly selling counterfeit “Monster Energy” motocross helmets through Amazon.
Approximately 1,000 counterfeit “Monster Energy” motorcycle helmets with an estimated retail value of approximately $250,000 were seized.
Not only were the helmets counterfeit “Monster Energy” products, they also contained Department of Transportation stickers indicating they met the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards minimum standards. Testing conducted by an independent laboratory determined the counterfeit helmets did not meet all of the mandated FMVSS safety standards.

The Monster logos on the helmets are backwards in that photo. The photo is blurry so it's hard to read the writing on the boxes to know if the photo was just reversed or if they actually made backwards logos on the helmets.

The print on the boxes is blurry but 2nd box down on the far left looks like it's in correct orientation to me. Looks like it says "Style" with a white space next to it to write in, "Color" with the same white space, so the Monster logos are likely backwards. No surprise.

Ha! Now that you pointed that out I can make out "style, color, size" on the boxes in the proper orientation.

Maybe in China if the logo is backwards it is not counterfeit. Woohoo

Monster can be proud, they have reached the levels of Rolex, Gucci, Louis Vatton, etc where they are being bootlegged.

Are you kidding me?

They closed down a convenience store near me for selling counterfeit toothpaste after people were all getting sick.

Who the fuck counterfeits $2.99 tubes of Colgate? But they do.

China counterfeits everything. I mean anything and EVERYTHING.

Yes I was kidding, mainly about the phony label merch that shows up at the swap meet and flea markets.

I know there is a lot of dangerous stuff coming out of China, counterfeit medication that is nothing but pills made of gypsum dust and all sorts of dangerous stuff.

You got that right.

Life saving drugs galore - even viagra.

These helmets are putting peoples life at risk. This crosses a line. Fucking China doesn't care - they are scum. Knock-off everything.

It's so bad now that I had some Paul Mitchell shampoo that I bought that was like fucking water when I piured it out and smelled like cat piss.

It said made In canada on the side. I found out Paul Mitchell doesnt make anything in Canada. If it says that its a China knockoff. Anything and everything.

China /Taiwan are the the most Scummiest, mother fuckers known for these practices. You GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. The mom & pop shops are solid. I'm one of them and I go out of my way to help my customers out. Whether I stay late to help them make it to the track/practice, I appreciate their business and will take the time to answer questions they may have, Even if it means I lose an hr of billable labor. Buy your stuff on the internet and expect to get the help shops like mine provide. "my bike wont start after I installed your (NAME THE PART) AND YOUR INTERNET VENDOR will give you a " we recieved your message and will replay within 24-48 hrs" . And the response will be "I jsut pack the parts and ship them out"\.. This being you need to get the thing fixed and the bike loaded that nite. My customers come back. BECAUSE I HAVE THEIR BACK....

All HAIL the Cheap ass /no support internet vendors.

I read you man. This is what happens when cost is the primary concern for the consumer. Have to have everything as cheap as possible. Puts people out of work too...
