Damn, ever ridden ?
Yes it has but doesn't appear to have much wear. Take a look at the frame, it has scuff marks.

Also has a bigger tank and other pipe combo that comes with it. Don't think he would sell a never ridden bike with extra parts.

But at the time every magazine test said it was amazing.

...Except MXA, who said it was crap from day 1.

no wonder it's not had much use haha

I never knew how some guys like ezra went so well on that frame, the factory suspension must have made a big difference

The frame sucked, too stiff, poor handling ect. But the engine absolutely ripped. I did not think mine was too bad until I rode it back to with new a 98 YZ 250.....I was a die hard Honda guy until I had no choice but to buy Yamaha"s for a decade after that. What"s funny is that from 99 on the YZ"s were almost a clone of the 96 CR"s with a little less reliability & fit & finish. I have seen clean 97&98 CR 250"s listed many times, seems like a lot of them were bought & survived, I almost bought a clean 98 just for the engine as a spare for my 96 CR, but found decent engine cases on eBay...

Don’t let Jimmy Albert— I mean Ronnie Mac see that or it’ll have to dwarfed fenders in no time!

I remember the 97' CR250 well. I wanted one so bad I bought one on my credit card that had a 19% interest rate. Needless to say I got a quick lesson in compounding interest and eventually had to get a financial bailout from my mom. LOL.

Good times.

I feel like this bike as well as the 1988 cr250 we're the most groundbreaking and trendsetting designs of all time, from any mx manufacturer as far as aesthetics are concerned. Put a new fender on that bike it looks close enough to modern as a 2017. Trendsetter is what it was, vibrating pile of turd or not.
