Regardless of the racial issues, why do you want to glorify the Confederacy anyways? If you love your country, then why promote a group of rebels who sought to destroy the Union and even bring European intervention into the matter.

And to touch on racial issues, there is very little sympathy in most of you. The Confederate Flag instills fear into the hearts of many black people in this country. Despite "history" or "southern pride," victims of injustice deserve protection from fear.

Something else we cling to is male/female icons on bathrooms,icons cause people can't read anymore.

We just need one icon, a figure in a dress standing at the bowl with dong.

And that pesky wedding cake with the man and woman on top,jeez.

Something that offends me is Grant on a 50 ,rather carry 50 one dollar bills.

I'm quite sure that you are the sort of person that responds to black lives matter protestors by yelling "No, all lives matter!" in a perfect storm of irony lost on everyone that does that.

I was born and raised a white trash, bigoted, racist, proud rebel. Joined the Air Force at 17. They made me eat, drink, sleep, shit, shower and shave with every manner of lesser humans like; blacks, Asians, Hispanics. It took a while but you know what I figured out? Our good ole Uncle Sam couldn't tell any of us apart. He made us all eat the same shit from the same bowl. There's a job needs done that's gonna take team work and that's all there is to it. Turns out that race, ethnicity, country of birth really don't mean shit. Character and integrity are the true measure of a man. It would be good if America lived up to it's ideal of measuring each individual...instead of judging based on categories. (Probably an incoherent rant but my. 02).

Start of civil war April 12, 1861, date emancipation proclaimation took effect January 1, 1963. At the start of the civil war it was legal to own slaves in BOTH the north and the south. The north didn't have nearly as many because it was a mainly industrial economy whereas the south was mainly agricultural but don't let facts get in the way of your argument.
