Bud Racing's Darian Sanayei and Maxime Desprey to race supercross

Edited Date/Time 2/16/2016 12:46pm
Bud Racing officially announced on his facebook page that young talent Darian Sanayei and the French 250 champion Maxime Desprey will race the whole AMA supercross 250 West coast championship. For those who don't know Maxime, he finished 4th in the European 250 championship.
Another important thing, their coach will be David Vuillemin.

I believe Sanayei has his Road to SX points, but what about Desprey? Tough to get them and race 250West in same season.

Don't they make an exception for champions of other FIM sanctioned championships?

That is awesome! I thought it was a crime we weren't getting to see Sanayei over here. I don't know about Desprey but it'll make the series more interesting!

Do they? I thought they did away with the exceptions, but I haven't read the rule book. Supposedly everybody has to go thru Road to SX. Sanayei did it by qualifying for the nite show in all three of the events he entered, which were rounds 1,2 &4. He won the LCQ one nite and made it in on two other nites with 7th place finishes in his heat races (last spot).

Im not sure but i think that riders that have been participating in the GPs don't have to do the crazy road to sx bs.

The road to sx races should be 1-3 months before A1 so that the young riders have the opportunity to race west 250 races.

I don't think he needs it. Not sure about the rules there but if guys like Tonus, Prado and Gajser can race without Road to SX then Desprey as well.
He did a full MX2 season in 2013, if I remember correctly he even had a top 5 moto finish

Did teillet do the road to SX last year? If not than Desprey doesn't have to either I think.

Teillet did go straight to SX, i think that if you score points in a GP you don't have to do the road to SX.

But these 2 guys with DV as a trainer will do great things! Desprey showed this season that he will be a top 250 rider in the coming years. Sanayei was really good in Matterly Basin EMX250 race, he will probably be a main event guy at at least 5 races in west sx.

Any rider that holds a FIM Pro license can go straight to SX. I've had 2 Italian riders that we built bikes for and provided room and board that raced 250 east and west.

Cedric Soubeyras to enter the 250 East championship with BUD Racing.

He said D-14 on his facebook page (today) so I guess he won't be at Arlington.

Soyberyas is missing Atlanta SX before Daytona because of Arenacrossuk.com series final in London is at same weekend and he is fighting for championship there.

OK, I understand why he said 14 days and not 13 (Atlanta).

Any news on Dylan Ferrandis? Haven't heard or read anything about him in the entire pre-season.

I think he's doing the MX of Lacapelle Marival this week end so we'll see where he's at...

Dear Kawasaki,

Please wrap these guys with foam protectors and outfit their bikes with ballistic air bags until the first race!

Love,
Kkawboy
