Actually I wasn't expecting him to run any american SX races if he's under contract for his first full MX2 year. Can't imagine they'd allow him to take the risk. Just wasn't sure what his long term plan is - stay in Europe like Covington, or end up coming back like Zacho
Tristan in EMX250 r you sure? He has ridden AMA nationals last year if i'm not mistaken and as far as i remember he did good for a rookie, why would he ride EMX250 if he has already has National/top level experience? Would that be to get acclimated to europe better with a little less pressure?
Please give as much info as you can GuyB really happy he's making the move although i would expect him in MX2
edit- ^^^ I guess Andy beat me to the question.
Great that they found rides, and the the experience of traveling around the world is one...

I am surprised Tristan is allowed to race the EMX250 class, I don't know the GP rules but I thought that EMX250 was just a feeder class for MX2?
With Tristan having already raced AMA Nationals (and done well prior to his injuries) I am surprised he is allowed into EMX250?
But good for him, I guess the GP rules don't care about AMA experience. He should do very well.
They do care about that but they r allowed to ride in the class what they choose to ride as a rookie, i do believe the first 5 of the EMX250 r automatically pushed true to mx2 if they r not to old, otherwise they can stay where they r.

Bud Racing isn't funded to race the full MXGP season and feel that West Coast SX and EMX gets the best bang for their buck. Also, the experience will be good for Tristan, and it's probably the best most secure offer he had available.
interesting move by tristan for sure. He looked really good in those couple first motos this year. at least with this deal he can showcase himself in the usa with his sx skills and in europe at mx.
Happy and sad at the same time for Tristan. This kid is good enough for the GPs. Same time you can see how hard it is these days, from top rookie to drop to europe to ride EMX250. Good deals seems hard to get. Happy he found this ride with Bud, its a good bike and team! See you in Europe next year Tristan! Good luck boyss!!
No dislike to Nicoletti or Bisceglia who will end most likely on the JGR 250 spot, but why they invest in older guys who will probaly move over back to the 450 in 2018. Why not sign young kids like Tristan for it? Sign them for more years and you will be in the battle for podiums and wins and even a title from 2018...

Older guys? Bisceglia just turned 21 this year, he's only three years older than Tristan Charbonneau. Just my opinion, but I don't think Tristan would be battling for a title in 18... But I could see Bisceglia as a regular podium guy in 18, he's already been on the podium three times in Supercross.

This is development season for Suzuki's 250 crew, so I would assume that they need riders with experience...
There is plenty of time for guys to race first 6 west coast rounds and then go to Europe to prepare for EMX season. In theory they would be able to race Seattle SX on Apr.8. also, but I doubt that they would do it anymore. Just one separate race in the middle of MX preparation.
Bud racing hasn't been doing MXGP series at all, just EMX, SX and French Championship.

Why don't you try to speak/wright in dutch, I'm doing the best that i can here. I know that your'e annoyed by my typing and as specially for the word are i use R the majority of the time because i don't even know in how many ways you can type are ( a're are ar'e ) i don't know when too use the right one in what sentence so i prefer to just put in R so everyone did actually understand what i meant. Sorry about that!
I have never had any lessons in english so you should be good to go with the dutch writing.
That's such a bummer for Savaste. He's really good. Hope he can make a good comeback
Yeah the situation is not good, the positive thing is that he signed a 3 year deal with BUD Racing so i guess he will still have a spot on the team when he returns.
For a 18 year old kid coming to Europe for the first time, I think there will be enough challenge in the EMX series. Exciting to see how both of these guys do next year.

Tristan still got 3 years to get where Matt is now and i believe he can get more succes and podiums then Matt has now, if he is able to get factory bikes, like Matt got before. I defently see Tristan a podium Guy in outdoors 2018. But it will all not happen. Hoping for Matt and Tristan the best and they will be front runners on both sides.
Maybe Charboneau is racing EMX because their season starts later. You can't really do either SX cost completely and be there in time to start the MX2 season.
Roczen was probably the last guy that could do that. But now the GPs start in February already. No chance
Awesome news for Tristan and Ryan, one thing kinda surprises me though, Geico has never really been known to give up on a guy so quickly, why did they do it with Tristan?
