After some hiccups on our part, we finally got the FMF Two-Stroke Challenge archived over at Allisports.com. It's the full race, with Jeff Emig helping out on the mic while Rob Buydos makes the PA call. It's good stuff... The video, not the Spam.

That was awesome!

It's crazy to see that Josh Woods' career racing is over. 2 years ago I lived at GPF and he still hauled and trained hard. A serious head injury ended all that.

Just got a chance to watch it...just awesome!!! It would be bad ass to see both RC and someone like Stew go after the 450's on a couple of 2-strokes. Either one of those guys could take the championship. Gotta throw one in for that Service Honda. No doubt that is one BAD ass bike!

Did Carmichael say anything about thinking of racing again in his post race interviews? I wouldn't be surprised to hear he was thinking about it when he was navigating that track.

great video thanks for the post, just 1 thing, the volume on the video player seems quite low, especially with the great sound the 2 stroke bikes were making. i found myself wanting to turn it up but was already 100% across the board, come to think of it, the live races are that way too. any help would be great thanks again

Thanks DC.........

I can tell you that Lichtle had a blast and was really pleased to be part of the show.

Great times for all.

250 class
450 class
2 stroke class

Can it be made a regular part of the schedule ????

Scotty,
There actually wasn't another clutch laying around! Fro parked under the Kawi tent and there probably hasn't been a KX250 clutch in there since 2005. The man who brought the bike did not have any spare parts, and Emig only realized the clutch was out after the brief practice before opening ceremonies. With the race starting, the Kawasaki team had to focus on the task at hand, which was the national itself and not the two-stroke race.

I am sure someone down there in Red Budland's massive camp grounds had a KX250 Jeff could have borrowed but remember, he's an ex-champion and lifelong factory rider, so just any bike would not do -- even RC shipped his own RM250 up from Tallahassee.

As for grabbing the clutch out of someone else's bike, like I said, all of the mechanics and team personnel were probably busy getting RD2 and Ferry's bikes going. I know Jeff was bummed, but it was cool to at least hear him on the PA.

Hi DC,

Thanks so much for this! Awesome. Is there any chance though you could ask the guys at Allisports to also add in a download link? That way I don't have to stream it and can save it and watch it later too.

Thanks again.
