Blake Wharton...again.

I haven't heard anything lately about Blake Wharton. Last I heard, he was focusing on his music career, and didn't have any offers on the table to ride in 2016. You would think that his results in the past for Geico Honda and Rockstar Suzuki would have somebody at least offering him a quality ride, wouldn't you? I mean...the kid didn't win a championship, but he was faster than a lot of guys I can think of.

Any news? Has he thrown in the moto towel?

Been a long layoff. I still take my hat of to Blake for the very classy and cool running of the 956. RIP Jesse.

BTW, would love to see Blake show up at LL's.

That's a fact, but I never had any clue that Blake wanted to get out of racing. I knew that he wanted to take a break and pursue his other interest (music)...but he seemed to be pretty happy. I guess you can't second guess someone.

He has said before he'd be interested in racing again if he was offered a ride. So I guess if an offer never comes he's comfortable with never racing again.

Hmmmmm...looks good & looks like he's on a Kawasaki. And, his "@aliasmx" shows he still has some friends around the Geico camp or at least didn't burn bridges. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at A1 ready to go.

Not sure if I'd say he could be at A1. Wouldn't be surprised if he at least hits Dallas though.

I did a motocross school with Blake and James Marshall at 3 Palms near Houston late last year. He did have some interest in racing again, but nothing lined up. I have a few contacts in the industry and sent out some feelers, but not much came back.

He was one of the instructors at the FCA Motocross Camp this summer at Oak Hill near Dallas.

I think even without a ride lined up it'd be cool to see him privateer it up for Dallas. If he gets some fitness back I think he could be near or within the top 10 even on a privateer bike.

Pretty sure I saw him and his brother at Houston sx in the geico pits hangin out. I've been meaning to check out his band. I imagine he made a much bigger paycheck racing than playing shows around DFW. But then again you're not going to kill yourself playing a a show.

Damn shame I'd wish he would race again! A super cool dude who has a great attitude! Seems different to most riders but he gets it done on the track!
