Probation must be like Public Bond issues, ask enough times and wear them down and get what you want eventually.

It's California. Nobody is a criminal. Everyone is welcome to commit crime with no repercussions. See today's news from San Fransisco.

I know the feeling. Unfortunately I’ve had two bikes stolen from me in my lifetime. A 95’ RM 125 and a 99’ YZ 125. Both brand new. The craziest part about this is that both of them were found by law enforcement. The RM stolen in Ky and was found in Kentucky 8yrs later and the YZ was stolen in AZ and found in AZ the same year! No Bullshit!!! I only retrieved the YZ. I let the RM go. Didn’t want to drive 8 hrs to get it.

Well done Reese keeping track of this. Good on you for that.

One thing, is there a picture / mug shot of the asshole who stole the bike?.....I never did see one and followed the whole thing through. Be nice to put a face to the scumbag!.

I once got sentenced to 45 days in LA County Jail. Judge told me not to worry cause I would only serve 1 day for every 8 of sentence due to overcrowding.
I was released 5 days later. That was decades ago. I can only imagine how it is now. Sucks if that guy got his felony reduced to a misdemeanor. The dude is a punk.

As others have mentioned... from San Francisco a felon is now called a “justice involved person”

It's because they don't identify as a criminal.Silly

In the mean time, they are offering to buy bus tickets for the homeless street poopers to travel anywhere they want to go...as long as it's out of California. A great number of them are choosing Texas.

That isn't going to work out well for them unless they head straight to the Republik of Austin.

Isn't a misdemeanor still pretty bad? Honestly, I don't really know. I always thought that has a criminal record (misdomeanors/worse) would keep you from leaving the country.

I guess I meant most countries wouldn't allow someone with a criminal record to enter. I guess I was just thinking there were more tiers but like Average Joe said, it can range from driving without a license to stealing a $10,000 bike and still fall under the same term.

That came up as a memory on Face Book an hour ago.
5 years ago today.
