Keefer's YZ250 with DFI, air suspension, new plastic and front wheel drive–powered by a second electric motor.

New graphics too!

Maybe they will turn the cylinder around and put the airbox back. Maybe they will have a new front fender. How cool would that be?

Last time I saw Yamaha do an add like this, they put a radiator under the front number plate.

I wanted one so bad when I was a kid. Dad bought us an RM instead.

Heard it's a large SXS modeled after the "Doof Wagon" but also with a piano! 100% YAMAHA!

on a sidenote: The 2017 RM85 is going to be new. Not just the sticker on the tank.

I had bought a 96 model RM for the oldest son back then. That little thing flat out ripped. Couldn't get over how much grunt it had even with my big ass on it. Got the youngest son a new 2007 CR85 and couldn't help but think the 96 RM would smoke it handily.

Funny thing when the 93 YZ80 came out, MXA (Yamaha Action Magazine???) called it the fastest Yamaha in the 125 class...lmao.Laughing

yea, back then the RM was the only one with a powervalve. It ran like a baby 250. I remember that MXA article on the YZ too. It had USD KYB forks, all the 12 year olds were obsessed.

The "Wear your seatbelt" safety disclaimer gives it away.

They're going to produce these at $4499 retail. An OW-Formula race series will be announced at the same time.

My hand would catch fire from writing checks if that were true...

I had a 1987 YZ 80 and went to a then, brand new, 1999 KX 80....And that YZ would have towed that Kawi all around the track.
