I'm still trying to figure out what he said.

Maybe he can try again, but in English this time. Laughing

You mean the post you edited that made no sense?

And it's Donnie, not Donny.

Wait, has he never had a trainer before? If he hasn't really done much training off the bike before as he says and has still gotten the results he has, I think next year should be interesting. That's if he keeps at it.

Seems like he's being realistic about things and is finally taking the sport as seriously as a top rider needs to. Glad to see it wasn't all talk and I just hope he pushes through the pain and keeps training.

Josh seems like the kinda guy who would get bored of the daily routine thing fast.
Trainers and listening to the trainer are a more modern approach to the sport!

The guy had the world by the balls, was on the best team with the best equipment possible, rode his fathers coat tails for all it was worth and then proceeded to piss it all away again and again! now he trains for a couple of weeks and people think he deserves props for it ? I say more power to Josh but will always root for the riders who busted his ass for everything they earned both on and off the track. Josh Hansen reminds me of a spoiled kid.

Okay, now I may not agree with you, but I'll accept an argument like that any day over, "The guy's a douchebag."

Sorry, but he can't. He rode both coasts on a 450 in 2012 therefore making him ineligible for the 250sx class from there on.

"II would hate to leave the sport thinking that I didn’t try to at least do a couple years of putting out some hard work and actually seeing what I could do. I just want to kind of do it for myself. "

"How long have you guys been working together, Josh?
I’m about two and half weeks into it right now,"

"t’s a full day of just doing stuff all day."

Ok, not trying to be a hater, but this is fucking ridiculous. There is no other sport on the planet where this guy would be taken seriously with this kind of lame shit. Wow, you're a cool bro, Josh, but this is a hardcore sport. It's an embarrassment to the sport that this kind of thing would be seen as a legitimate, dedicated athlete. I've heard more spirited commitment from a Vet B rider.
Can you imagine a media outlet in another sport printing an interview with a guy who has had umpteen chances, saying he's "thinking about kind of giving a shit about preparing this year."

So, the usual Hanny haters are back.

Got it.

As for those that're Butt-Hurt about: all the support he's had over the years, riding his dad's coat-tails, riding the 250s...again, not trying hard enough...yada, yada, yada...

Here's the thing: He's relevant. You're not.

Suck it.

Insanely talented people are hard to write off altogether.

No one would suggest Hanny is going to take down Roczen in 450 Nationals. But 250SX? Hanny will be just fine.

I never thought of Hanny as "riding his dad's coattails".

I mean, you either get results or you don't, right? Not much nepotism in racing once the gate drops (unless your dad is working the starting gate on your countWoohoo ).

Jay, i don't believe that is correct. JH100 finished the 2012 season of 450sx in the 18th position with 89 points.
http://vault.racerxonline.com/2012/sx/point.
The rulebook states this in section 5.2 G "Riders finishing inside the top 20 of the 450SX class points in 2011, 2012 or 2013 will not be eligible to ride the 250SX class" http://www.amasupercross.com/rules/pdf/2014%20SX%20Rulebook%20Ver%2012.03.13%20FINAL%20for%20WEB.pdf

I don't know what anyone has to hate on any more the guy is giving it another shot out there mostly on his own there's no big teams/factory bike etc he seems more or less a privateer. Good Luck to him I say if he puts the work in and comes out on top it will be well deserved.
