YS/FIM didn't have a choice between thunder valley and redbud before deciding on thunder valley.... both tracks actually have to WANT to have it, and are prepared to work with YS/FIM in order to have it...

obviously redbud didn't fancy it

personally i like the choice of thunder valley... they are definitely one of the more pro-active tracks on the tour (ie. tv screens, night races, watering system) and the track owner is the sort of guy who will make it one of the best ever

Fair warning, this is just a fun little opinion piece not meant to cause any harm for anyone. If you have any categories you want to add or you wanna change my picks, do it, but make it fun.

Rider of the Year - Ryan Dungey

Best SX Racer - James Stewart
Best MX Racer - Chad Reed

Best 450 Racer - Chad Reed
Best 250F Racer - Ryan Dungey

Best Rookie - Justin Barcia
Best Women's Racer - Ashley Fiolek

Best Amateur - Dean Wilson
Best Mini Racer - Zach Bell

Best SX Race - Anaheim 1 with Josh Grant taking the win.
Best MX Race - MXdN with an underestimated Team USA winning.

Biggest Surprise - Anaheim 1 with Josh Grant taking the win or Matt Goerke winning Southwick.
Biggest Sleeper - Tommy Hahn or Ricky Dietrich.
Biggest Letdown - Kevin Windham not performing to what we all know he can.
Biggest Crash - Chad Reed at Southwick, Josh Grant at High Point, or Stroupe at Daytona SX.

Best Euro to come race in the US
- Christophe Pourcel

Best Team - Team Suzuki

Best Rumor - Jason Lawrence to Honda?

Only two in the middle standout as plain wrong.Wink

First - Ashley Fiolek - Great girl with a super personality but consitantly bettered by two "Euro's" while doing GP's in 2009. Namely 'Livia Lancelot and Steffi Liaer.

Secondly - Dean Wilson for best Amateur. Surely Ken Roczen gets that one for the half season before he turned 15 and started nailing GP's?

or was this just National bests?Tongue

Reckon so, otherwise you'd expect Cairoli to be Best MX Racer seeing as he also won his respective championship* and beat Chad Reed straight up.
