I've seen K-Dub and Reed put in some pretty solid SX mud rides.

The full races, but it's with dutch commentary:

Everts looked amazing that day but also Patrick Caps was on a other level because he was riding 250 and 500cc lap times on his 125cc bike!

Too trick Alan dyck from Canada is the best ever. Even won a golden state against all the big boys down there in 88!

From this generation I would say that Christophe Pourcel is a very good mud rider and De Dycker, Xavier Boog...

Everts, Windham, and Carmichael. I'll give the edge to Everts just because he was good in the mud his entire career. Carmichael towards the end of his career was even with Everts. Seeing those two battle in the mud at the end of their careers would have been amazing to see.

I watched RC lap the field in millvile one year, decent mud ride that day for sure. Wouldn't say the best though.

Yes, lapping the entire field with guys like Kdub, DV and Stewart ain't too shabby. This thread reminded me of the Daytona SX a couple years ago, Poor ol' Reed had that sucker in the bag then poof seemed to take a week for Kdub to come around and take the checkers! That wasn't exactly a typical mud race though it was more like riding SX through a swamp in full monsoon conditions.

That was a full on monsoon! How mad would have been if you were Reed? Put's in a near perfect race and the Yamadog pooches out 50ft from the finish line.

Obviously, Everts stands out. However, don't discount Mikkola in this discussion.

Gaildorf 1974. Gerritt Wolsink at an pre-season international race was one rider from lapping himself. It has poured all day Friday and Saturday. awesome display of skillSmile on that hilly track

I was stationed in Germany and raced my CZ on Saturday.

Was it the Dallas SX in '06 that he won and was doing the triple in the mud? That was totally crazy!
