Best motocross movies

Edited Date/Time 9/22/2014 6:49pm
There is some good ones out there.
This is for mx or sx movies that aired on tv or at the movie theater. (not dvd's).
My list is

1. Winners take All
2. On any Sunday (the original)
3.Motocrossed (disney)

I must have watched Winners take All atleast 100 times. Love that movie. Its my favorite movie of all time.

Hahahaha. Good memories of motocrossed when it came out. I'm pretty sure it's the only Disney movie I could ever watch with my sister when I was a kid. I just watched winners take all for the first time a couple months ago. I feel like I should have seen that long ago. I wish was alive in that era.

As much as we bash it, I'd say "Supercross: The Movie" is a million times better than Winners Take All!

This is old-school, but One Chance to Win is really good. Gives you an appreciate for how for we've come.

Do the "Moto" movies count, since they are more documentary?

Motocrossed is my favorite, although the fact that I was 12 when it came out might have something to do with it.

I just watched Motocross Legacy the other night, was a mid nineties Godfrey film I guess... pretty corny editing and some other bits but at the same time, if you wanted to crash course some mx history and hear some cool moments from RJ, Wardy, Decoster, Buckwheat and Fro it's not all bad.

It's on youtube too!

I know I'm straying from "Motocross movie", but it does have dirt racing in it:

"Little Faus and Big Hallsey"(sp? on both names).

Basically. it dealt with itinerant Motorcycle Racers - travelling from race to race - Robert Redford, and , I forget the funny looking little blokes name that was his race / travelling partner and rival. A real movie, and not a laughable / embarrassing Disney / Kids level movies.

I'm putting it forward as a scripted movie, Not a 'documentary' style such as the On Any Sundays, Faster / The Kid & The Texas Tornado / Fastest series and the brilliant, Isle Of Man 'Closer To the Edge' feature, that was on Cinema screens. Seriously, chase up Closer To The Edge - 'Real Roads' Racing, is The Ultimate Motorcycle Sport . Then you might check out the many Irish Roads Racing / IOM TT movies, of both races, and of men like Joey and Robert Dunlop (and Roberts sons, Michael and William), and many others, like David Jeffreys, Ian Hislop..........

1. The Dirt Bike Kid
2. Frezno Smooth
3. Winners Take All

MX and Cinema do not mix.

The others in my opinion aren't for people who actually know what they are looking at. Kinda like Fast and furious if you really know about cars, Top Gun/Behind Enemy Lines if you really know about Navy Aviation, etc.

It's obvious that none of you have seen Bro' or it would be at the top of your lists.

I can remember being a kid and finding Winners Take All at the video rental store.. Thought I'd hit the jackpot, as I was obsessed with anything moto related...

(I remember rewinding and watching the pool scene where there chick's titty pops out over, and over lol)
