Hey all,
I am planning a trip to an outdoor race this year from nj. I am between unadilla, southwick, and budds creek all of which are just about 4 hours from me. I would like some imput from people who have been to some of these tracks as to which ones have the best track viewing, atmosphere, accesbility, and amenities.

As far as viewing budds creek is the top on that list. Can see almost the entire track from multiple locations. Beautiful track

Budds Creek is an awesome track to watch at. It's hard to get a bad seat at that place. They also did some changes to the track in the past week and from what I hear it's real cool. Hopefully I'll get to ride it in the next couple weeks.

Budds Creek is a fantastic track to see in person and generally offers pretty good racing. I know its a further drive but Muddy Creek is also a fantastic track to go watch a race. That area of the Appalachian mountains and Bristol is a real cool area to see in person.

Went to Budds Creek in 2007 for the MXdN. Great viewing from just about anywhere around the track.

I've only ever been to Red Bud and Tennessee. Red Bud is a must. Tennessee was nice as well. I am going to Unadilla this year though. Plane tickets already bought and race tickets soon to follow!! Doesn't answer your question but I'm just excited to be going to Dilla!!

Tennesse is an incredible state and Red Bud is an awesome overall experience.....but as far as being able to view the entire track, Budds Creek. It was awesome to have a national down here in Texas......but Freestone was probably one of the worst tracks I've ever seen for spectating.

Budds hands down, Unadilla viewing is around 1/3 the track at most. And the wait to get out of there is worse than sitting on the 91 Freeway in SoCal at 0700 on a Monday morning.

^I'll echo this assessment.

Unadilla is horrendous to get out of. You can always get hammered in the parking lot there because you will have plenty of time to sober up

I was at Southwick in 1998 and from what I can remember, it's not the most spectator friendly facility. Although that isn't stopping me from trying to get some plans together to head up there this year.

High Point is a good track for viewing. It's probably not quite as good as Budd's but it's still pretty good. I'd have to say it's 2-3 hours further for you.

The Iron Man is pretty sweet. Good viewing and the shade from those ENORMOUS trees is heaven.

Southwick is not a good track for viewing. I would do dilla or budds.
