Best MX event(s) you've been to in Europe

Agree with the 2013 MXoN was an amazing atmosphere and a great weekend. 2006 Matterly Basin des nations was also pretty incredible with Everts and Bubba going at it with Cairoli killing it on 250f

-1994 500 gp at hawkstone park- jacky martens win if i remember right? was my first big mx race. Awesome track and massive crowd. Great event

-the mid to late 90s foxhills gps were good- the year malin and tortelli had that epic battle (96?) and the year everts and tortelli did battle (97?) were both great

- the 98 mx des nations was horrendous conditions but a really good event, watching everts destroy everyone round there in the terrible conditions was unreal to watch - he looked like he was riding a different track to everyone else that day!

- the 2001 namur motocross des nations. What a place namur was! really glad i visited that place, chad reed rode great that day, winning his race (everts winning his) - it was a shame that reed crashed on the first lap in the final moto

- the 2004 lierop motocross des nations! whilst it was a shame that team usa didnt turn up (again) the event was still memorable- notably for de reuver battling with everts (on a 2 stroke!) - what a ride that was!!! his finest moment i think

- The 2006 mx des nations at matterly basin! stefan everts masterclass of how to rail deep ruts stood up! amazing race to witness

- The 2010 valkenswaard gp! herlings destroying roczen was a sight to behold- amazing ride and great event

- the 2010 lierop gp (which i had to watch from a wheelchair due to breaking my leg a few days before!) - first time at the leirop gp that year, probably my favourite gp

- the 2012 leirop gp- herlings lapping up to 3rd! WOW! unbeleivable

- The 2014 hawkstone international! only last weekend but was a great event- its a crying shame theres no gp at hawkstone any more, was the jeffrey herlings show yet again. Never seen anyone make the track look so easy as herlings did last weekend- even everts! what a rider

really wish id gone to the des nations the last 2 years but lack of funds have kept me from going! definitely going to kegums this year, one of the best tracks on the calendar in my opinion, i WILL make it happen this year!

1988 MXdN in France (aussies finished fourth!!), 1993 and 99 Fastcross (Everts won both), 1993 Bercy SX, 2001 Lierop (Reed wins GP), 2006 Everts at Ernee, 2006 Matterley Basin MXdN (and just about all the MXoN since), 2013 Italian GP at Maggiora.

06 des nations was awesome, never seen so many people at a race....people abandoning their cars and walking was a 1st too
still a little disappointed that i didnt get to see RC ride in person, everts and ac made up for it though !

Every GP I'd been to in the 90s at Foxhill was incredible! - Des Nations included.

Des Nations 2000 witnessing Pastrana was brilliant. Tortelli and the French atmosphere that day was insane!

I with you on the IOW the first GP there was incredible. I still dream about being able to ride that track to this day!

MXDN France 2005 for me

2011 Nations at St Jean... atmosphere was off the hook , and we led after the first race... watched second race sharing my brolly with Georges Jobe... just mingled in like a true fan.. France were so close until Pourcel's tyre came off.

Shaun Simpson's win at Lierop last year has to be the best though......was such a cool event to see him take it to Cairoli , and win ... and seeing everyone hanging over the fence going nuts, even though there was only a smattering of Brits there , was something i wont forget in a hurry.
