Jeff Ward.....he is the best.I said JMB and meant that before. Now would Wardy consider being a Scottsman over being an American? If so then I go with JMB still.

JMB is amazing but what with DeCoster, Karsmakers, Raymand Boven, Gerrit Wolsink, Jaroslav Falta, ... the first SX racers. And do you guys know Axel Holvoet, Jaimy Scevenels...

JMB and DV12 for sure! I think CP377 did an awesome job here as well. I don't count Jeff Ward as being a Scotsman though........he grew up here in the states since he was a little kid. One of the reasons why he raced for the USA at the MXDN's.

But there are others mentioned in this thread that did really good here to.

DV12 sticks out the most in my mind though. Reason why?.......MC was completely destroying people for years in SX. And David was one of the very few who stepped up and challenged him for wins on quite a few occasions. At least until RC came into the picture. I remember cheering for David to beat Jeremy because I was so tired of seeing MC win all the time. Besides....it kept MC on his toes........not many riders can say that.

JMB came, saw, conquered and left...it was too easy, just like the question.

I bet the 338 coming over from the other side of the pond is gonna make some noise this year. Title contender in either coasts for sure. Not the best ever by any means yet, but could have one of the best starts...

Bercy attracted the French riders to American SX, also print magazines like Motoverte ran a lot of stuff on USA. That attraction is getting less and less and I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see Euros going to America in two or three years. Just part of the revolving door. Americans wanted to go to Europe, then Euros wanted to go to America, wonder what the next phase will be.

After Lackey and LaPorte Americans wanting to go to Europe pretty much fizzled, top Americans anyway. Bob Hannah even said there was no need to go when asked back then. He said Lackey being first American took the luster off winning the world championship...I'm paraphrasing here. I don't see an American exodus to Europe coming any time soon. Personally I would love to see a top American rider try to win a world title...just don't see it happening .

Lites, 250cc 4 strokes and 125cc riders shouldn't even be talked about in this thread... Let them get rid of their chainsaw engine powered bike in a divided class and ride with the men then, they could be included... hahaha

Expect to see young french riders like Teillet and Ferrandis (maybe with team Bud Racing) come to race in US Supercross in 2014...
