GuyB, are they steam rolling the track surface? I've never seen such glassy smooth dirt!!!

I was wondering the same thing. Would love to make first tracks on something like that! Looks like it gave pretty good traction.

How are they doing it Kardy?

Even the whoops are cement smooth, almost like BMX track? Is it a midget sized roller or something?

Yep after the bobcats flatten the ruts and corners they go over it with those type of machines afterwards. It makes the dirt look so shiny it's funny lol!

I wonder if the rollers would help get rid of the marbly dirt that tends to slide down and build up at the bottom of the turns?

Hey Crush, a lot if the indoor supercrosses in Australia back in the 80's and 90's were rolled smooth like that, sometimes with a roller and sometimes just with the bobcat, but they always looked awesome. You always hoped to be in the first heat so you could tear it up, but the smoke from the indoor firweorks display wasnt so good. LOL

haha.... I was picturing a bunch of track workers with the cricket pitch roller that we pushed by hand. That thing was fucking heavy!
