I like Barcia, i want to see him do good and be closer to podiums but what the hell is going on?

He had a knife to his throat coming into the weekend, this was his last chance to show a employer that he still got it and he was a 15th-17th place rider all weekend long!

What is he going to do next year? Who is going to hire him?

Coming off a bad concussion prob didn't help. I think he needs a rest the last 3 seasons he' s had to train like crazy to get back to where needed due to the injuries.
Before the concussion he was starting to look good be more up the top 5

Idk whats going on with Barcia, but he did worse this year on the suzuki then he did on the yamaha. I thought he was pushing the team to go to suzukis and get off the yamahas and by doing so he cut a year off his contract. He was signed with JGR and yamaha through 2018, but since they went to suzuki he had a 1 year deal this year. I wouldve liked to see what Decoster and KTM couldve done with him, but i guess Red Bull didnt want him. IMO this is a big time for Barcia, hes either going to make this work or fade away. If he doesnt land something i wonder if he'll do what Wilson did and bet on himself or if he'll be to prideful to do that?

It's always funny to see him pissed at somebody when he ends up on the ground as the other way round doesn't bother him one bit.

Still, seeing him only get slower and slower is something of a mistery.
Hope he figures it out.

He is going backwards in a weak field.. with how tight money is now, anyone giving him a shot is taking a huge risk, he bombed out of Honda, went to JGR and blamed the Yamaha, and now the bike that won last year isn't good enough.

I see only one common thing here. And rumours of a GP ride must go out of the window after this weekend, surely nobody will look at him over Nagl, Bobreyshev or Tixier.

He's gonna end up in Canada at this point, not that I really care to see him up here.

Just seeing the guy that Barcia is, i cant picture him showing up to A1 as a privateer even if that is the only choice he has.

It was terrible GP and I'm somewhat surprised he ended up racing; he could've easily dropped out with injury but from what Matthes suggested he was actually eager to race and that makes his weekend worse.

It's kinda sad to see Barcia like this from my perspective, I'm a fan! He always gives it 100% whether fighting for 1st or 20th. Roll on 2018, hope the guy finds a ride and figures it out! The sport needs characters like him.

In fairness, he was 14th overall and of the guys in front of him all were former GP winners apart from Lupino.

Its quite sad actually. 2 years ago he was fighting for a win with the same guys at MXON in france.

I really hope he can get his speed back.

You and me both. Not a fan of his and I don't see him coming up here next year. I'm sure he sees himself having a ride down south. On which team I have no idea.

There's not many rides to go around and I think that he won't have a choice to take a big pay cut if he wants to land on a team.

Come to think of it with the Redemption Racing Team looking at competing in SX in 2018 having a guy like him on the team would help them land bigger sponsors. He could ride SX then come up here with the team for the MX season. Sure that idea is way out of left field and out the box but it could be possible. Barcia + KTM = success?

Agreed! He also needs to act like a rider that a factory would want to represent them. His Dumb Dumb antics are getting old.

A - his aggressive 250F riding style has never really worked for him on the 450.

B - Burnout.

C - Lack of maturity and humility, and willingness to learn from his mistakes.

...just my opinion...

so what if barcia has signed a new deal and won't be a monster athlete anymore and this being his last race with the team (that btw wasn't even intenting of racing the gp) just made him ride around and not risk anything. just saying...

To me Butler Brothers would be a good fit for him just like Baggett. Seems Byrne has been working with Blake and it has been a success.

Bingo. He needs to be on a KTM. Light as possible, free reviving, basically as close as it gets to a 250f that will let him ride aggressive. Maybe he gives the 350 a legit chance. I hope he ends up on an orange bike one way or another.
