If JGR were to switch to Husky how do you think Barcia would do on a 350? Would that allow him to ride like he used to on 250s?

Barcia is fine on the 450..he just needs to kick it up a few notches...

i've always thought he would be the perfect candidate for the 350... said it many times. holding the bike wide open all the time doesn't really work as well with a 450. i think he would make the 350 look good!

He'd stay on a 450 . No way he'd give up the hp .

With that approach I think he would make the Husky 250 smoker look good.

Is there a rule like in Canada that keeps a rider from changing bikes during the season? Could he ride a 350 at some events and a 450 at places like Southwick?

No such rule here.

JGR says differently. If I remember this right, they actually "detuned" the bike a bit to make it easier to ride for him.

I think he'd do a lot better on a 350 has less rotating mass , lighter bike easier to ride, plus they could easily get enough hp out of a 350 now. look at Carolli he did better on the 350 !

Why would Husky go with JGR when they have Rockstar already? I think a little respect is due to Hewitt. Are they able to field two major teams like KTM and BTO?

Apparently Husky wants another team, I think similar to like what BTO is to KTM.

Why would any manufacturer go to JGR? Have they ever had a rider that got better results once they switched to JGR?

Can you please explain your beef with the yamaha, I'm currious. Have you ridden one or are you basing this all on forum "test riders" and hearsay?

Well, JGR has never been on another brand. So if you're convinced that it's the brand, I could see a manufacturer making an offer.

his strength are the starts and I don't think he wants to give up that 450 power alone for that reason.

And for that matter Barcia has had his best results at JGR, remember last summer and fall anyone? Funny how quickly people forget the injuries he has had the last two years also. He seems to still have an issue that isn't being discussed. Maybe his thumb still isn't right or maybe he just isn't right mentally yet.

I actually love the quality and durability of Yamahas. I would buy a 250f for sure if I was going to get a 250f right now. The 450f however is the big blue pig. It might be a great bike for the average Joe or weekend warriors, but it's not a podium bike in the big leagues. I have no doubt both Peick and Barcia would be doing better on another color, and the 350 sounds perfect for Barcia. The big blue 450 needs a redesign. If JGR switches brands and Barcia continues to finish where he is on the pig, I'll happily eat crow.

The blue pig started taking victims way back with Stewart? It's been awhile. At least they have their 250 dialed in.

Hahaaha, you know that's exactly what he's thinking. Wasn't Short yanking holeshots in Supercross on the 350? That bike was made for Bam Bam

The Yamaha 450 is not a podium bike in the big leagues? MXGP, MXDN, Red Bud & Budds Creek 2015 results beg to differ. There comes a time in all of our lives when we have to put the pipe down for a while and get a clear frame of reference.

Hahaaha, put it down Mike. Look what you just rattled off...a few races of how many in years? I could give a shit about Europe, those tracks are "slow". Take another cougher from your vaporizer, that bike is a POS. You should go buy an old outdated Suzuki like Roczen and you will feel the difference in the first berm...

The sport would be more exciting if Barcia was a player. But IMO Barcia has maxed out his potential. He has had plenty of time on a 450 to step it up and be a player for a title. He will go down as another can't miss guy that missed.

I thought the most telling moment in the racing last weekend was when Roczen had just passed Barcia in moto 2 and Barcia was trying to keep with KR. They were both going up a slight hill just before a left turn and Barcia had the Yamaha with the grip almost twisted off and his front wheel up in the air trying to keep up. KR had the Zook well planted with both wheels on the ground and that Zook pulled away from the Yami like a 450 pulling your avg 250. I can't explain it other than That Zook is so dialed, it's getting the power to the ground better than any other bike out there - and we know the JGR Yami 450 makes plenty of hp. I point this out because I don't think Barcia is up to race pace in terms of endurance. However, early in the race that wouldn't be a factor and it wasn't. Yes Barcia needs to get his endurance up, but something is missing on getting the power to the ground. Granted, KR is making everybody look bad at this point. I just thought that was the pace of the race in my opinion and very telling.
