Yeah could be the confidence he needs. I'm looking forward to 'Dilla. Pourcel and Barcia are going to challenge Roczen and dungey there.

I've never been a fan after some of his hotheaded stuff (roosting the injured guy a while back was the worst), but his crazy enthusiasm was awesome today. Like GL kept saying, he looked like an overgrown kid just out having a great time on the bike. That's always awesome to watch and I'll back a no-footer off a tiny single any day. Made me smile because it just looked like so much fun.

Meanwhile, everybody else (except Bagget and CP maybe) looked pretty burnt.

Not on a dry track they won't. Great ride for Barcia, it's been a long time.

Seeing Barcia get the win was amazing. So happy for the kid after such a tough couple of years . That 2nd 450 moto WAS SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH!

I'm happy for JGR also. Now if they could clean Justin up for the public it would help, he looks like a homeless guy that lives in a cardboard box somewhere. Not a real good rep for Pro Motocross

Yeah, great day racing for Barcia and JGR. They've put a lot into the sport and it's good to see them get some results and be rewarded for it.

It's kind of surprising that JGR doesn't rein him in a little on his appearance as they seem like they want to present as professional an effort as possible, maybe they don't want to break his spirit.WinkSmile

Who knows, maybe Barcia busts his butt for them doing everything they ask him to do with a great attitude and his appearance is the least of their worries.

Barcia has never been at the top of the list of my favorite riders mainly because of some of his actions from the past but he has some serious skills and gets my respect for that. It would be great to see him find a way to run up front on a weekly basis.

The difference is he have nothing to lose only to win, also baguett and pourcel. Roczen and Dungey have much to lose.

I was cheering and yelling throughout the entire 2nd Moto for Bam Bam. Not only was it his first 450 class win Outdoors, but he also won the Overall for the weekend along with it! 3-1 is a great. People on here can hate all they want, but he did everything right this weekend. Hopefully this will boost his confidence and get him fired up for the 2nd half of the season.

How could you not be pumped for someone that enthused about riding in the mud then winning.

I'm sure almost every factory team went through 2 or 3 motors.

1 for practice
1 for moto 1
1 for moto 2

Those motors went through some serious abuse with those conditions. Better safe than sorry.

wonder if those front intake engines are susceptible to that.

I agree with you that Barcia hasn't proven himself on a dry track to run up there with Dungey and Roczen. However, I was impressed with Justin's throttle control in mud and hope he can utilize that technique on drier surfaces. People wrote Pourcel off even though there was no question that his smooth riding style is a perfect fit for a 450f. Great finishes boost confidence.

I'm not at all a fan...but I'm glad Barcia got a win, even though it was on a mudder track, and the points leader biffed, and got stuck in the slop. No excuses though. He won fair & square. This is bound to help his confidence!

Anyone notice how laid over JB had the bike when he passed Bagget into the left hander in the first Moto Blink . 25:20 into the race. Had the bars dragging.

It's the first time I've seen Barcias mojo since Lommel. Now he's got it back, I wonder if he will ride alongside Dungey and Martin this year? Would be a good team.

Just what the doctor ordered for Mr. Barcia, congratulations to him, family and JGR staff.

Everyone on the gate had this opportunity and one guy seized it. A wins a wins davistld01 and I agree there isn't any excuses on race day. I doubt the bank will cash this mud race win bonus check any different.

I witnessed an epic mud practice session by Barcia on a 250 @ Highpoint a couple years ago. He had it wicked broadside throwing rooster tales 20' in the air on an off cambered sweeper turn. While everyone was tiptoeing around the track Barcia looked like a young kid playing in the mud. Good memory.

Exactly what he needed. This should spark his attitude again and push him back to the front. The guy has heart and works hard. Good on JGR, Yamaha, and Barcia.

Also, it seems that Buddy Antinez is one exceptional riding coach. A few riders have worked with him and they have done better because of it.
