Funny this thread came up...my dad was making the same comments about RC; I advised dad that was one of the perks of retirement. Crazy thing is he could still qualify for the main event if he chose to do so IMO.

I remember in a old interview with Aldon when he was RC's trainer. Aldon said Ricky could look at a McDonalds sign and gain 10 pounds. He could gain 50 more pounds and still haul ass. He was always chubby on mini bikes.

Ricky's going to be like his pops....a big boy. Look at Stewart right now.....then check out big James.....in 5yrs from now....James will look like that.

You use this same method picking up on chicks for a serious relation ship......look at their mothers....let's you know if you should stick around or not.

I happened to catch a glimpse of RC from the side at A1 too. It caught me a little off guard. I still respect the guy to death. But tomorrow I am buying some Dairy Queen stock.

I agree, earned the right. Really shows how diciplined he must have been to win a zillion races at fighting weight.
I also agree that a broadcast Director has a job to help the broadcasters look their best, and that angle wasn't it.

His wife will have a say, mine does....it usually involves rabbit food.. Man, DQ sounds good right now! I treat that place like an alcoholic treats his favourite bar, "put it on my tab please".
