To me it looks like with a better start and less mistakes he has the speed and stamina to be on the podium at least a few times this season. Fastest lap near the end was pretty impressive.

You know what impressed me the most was how calm, cool and collected he was when matthes interviewed him after the race. He didn't seem flustered at all and handled himself really well.

He will make podiums and snag a win before it's over.

Very impressive ride in my opinion. To get 8th after a bad start and that crash in the whoops showed a lot of poise in his first career SX race. He will only get better.

For the kids first supercross he did what he needed- come away with a top ten and walk away uninjured... Certainly something he can build on...

Lucky that tough block was there or he could have been done.

race 1 in SX - yeah it wasnt perfect but maybe it was a little predictable, i think he is the hunt for the title without doubt

His bike went backwards when he dropped into that last whoop.

Kid is farmboy tough. Give him time. Even the best fall down sometimes.

Super impressive! That wasn't a little crash and he didn't let it rattle him. Definitely has all of the markings of a champion.
