In the Aussie Nationals, can the same CC two stroke ride with the 4 strokes or are they separated like in the US.

For example a CR250 race against a CRF250?

in Australia it is 250cc all in, although there are some limits to the mods you can do to the 2 strokes,

New Zealand and Canada are the same as well,

His first post says 4 stroke vs 2 stroke for the title.

Just like in Canada the 250 2 stroke can compete in the 250 class. Equal displacement. It should be like that in every series but for whatever reason it's not. I don't know what the rules are down under but up here a 250 2 stroke is only allowed a pipe and silencer in terms of mods. No engine work allowed. That's because Kaven Benoit rode a mod KTM 250sx a couple of years ago and won the title. They changed the rule to no engine work, pipe and silencer only and he defended the title the following year on a stock KTM 250sx with an FMF pipe and silencer combo. I know at one point one of the rule said that only Canadians could run the 250 2 stroke in the 250 class. I always thought that rule was dumb. I'm not sure if that's still a thing or not.

Not many people run the 2 stroke in our series.

I would.

The engine restrictions were removed a while back in Aus. After the second moto and a 2T taking the MX2 championship, I would expect them to be back in place for next year. Can't wait to hear the whining.

Even though this is the first time a 2T has taken the number 1 spot, have no doubt that the manufacturers that still sell smokers actively get any supported riders onto 4Ts if they can.

DPH had whinge cause Egan was in front of Wilson in practice and the pair either came together or had an issue with Wilson falling and knocking his head a little, complete bullshit that Egan gets penalised when he was the one in front, sounds like Wilson tried to show a wheel and got to close and went down or he was the one that was trying to put a move on and came unstuck. Their was a lot of talk around about karma is goin to bite back on Egan and all that rubbish and karma did bite back and it bit their guy and he lost the championship.
