Where the hell is he? And why isn't he racing? Is he coming back this year?

It is the typical GP-AMA transformation story, meaning crashing out in SX and ruin your first year. I believe he would have done well on the rougher tracks ...

I believe he had some problems with his blood that he had to go back home to get figured out. Haven't heard progress as of late though. He actually looked really good in SX but seemed to continuously get caught up with a bad start and not making it through traffic very well. I'm hoping he makes it back over for another go this next season.

Comment: Tonus plans on returning to action at some point this summer, but it won’t be at Muddy Creek.

From Tonus himself earlier this year.

Its a long way back from something like Epstein-Barr, especially when its over 1/3 way into the race series (after Saturday). I hope he comes back healthy and strong rather than rushing back and struggling like so many do. The guy has serious speed

No Tyler, Tonus is quite a phenomenal young racer, which means he couldn't possibly be form Texas. He isn't even form this country, but he has plenty of fans on this site, a lot of them form Europe.

He's not hurt (apart from breaking his arm before the sx season started), he has struggled with this for a while.

real shame about tonus having problems with a blood virus this year, he's a really talented rider, great style. Was overshadowed a bit by herlings when he was in gps. I expect him to be up there battling for race wins when he is back to 100% fit

I think he can battle Nelson and Cianciarulo for podiums, but I can't see him going at the Musquin/Martin pace this year.

let's just hope that Tonus does an Musquin and just struggles with injuries the first few years in US. He can fight for titles when he's 100%, let's not forget that he was crazy fast at his first ever SX race.
