I was considering getting the Tusk Impact wheel set for my cr125 since they're only $550 on Motorsport. I was just curious if any of you guys have tried them. I've heard they're durable, I don't know about weight compared to stock though.
Thanks.

Ive asked the same questions and got little to no answers. The thing that concerns me is they don't have their own website, just straight through the big .com's

i've heard from guys that run them that they are REALLY good for the money. i have nothing to back up that claim, you'll just have to take my word on it.

I'm really tough on wheels since I have quite a few huge jumps and hardpack tracks around me and I swear by these wheels. Not only are they really durable and outlasted my stock wheels by far, but I haven't had to tighten these spokes once on either wheel, even after the first ride with them. I used and abused them for this entire year and still straight as an arrow.

A couple of my woods riding buddies are running them and are very pleased.
I'm running the SM Pros but would go with the tusks for the money difference.
They bought them on ebay for around $500/set

The only downside I see and hear is they are heavier than stock wheels. Since it's unsprung weight you feel it.

Great bang for the buck! Most of the magazines give them the thumbs up. I believe Tusk is Rocky Mountain ATV's in house brand.

i had them on my Honda. they seemed fine but the bearings suck. luckily i deal with commercial bearing shops with my job because they used a odd size one. they are cheap though.

I have 4 GNCC's and 15 hare scrambles. at an A level on mine, since I bought them in March. I have had to tightened the spokes once. I have had no problems with the bearings at all. I repack them every time I change a tire. The Tusk wheels were about 7 oz each heavier than my stock OEM Honda wheels. That was weighting them bare, without rim locks or sprockets and rotors. I I would buy them again in a minute.

That's really impressive, only 7oz heavier with 4 extra spokes/nipples? I bet they're no heavier than a stock KxKtmRmYz wheel then.

Great wheels, they're true out of the box and the spokes break in nicely after about 2 solid rides.

Stock Honda wheels are 32spoke, part of the reason why they are so light. Everyone else's use 36. I'm assuming that the Tusk wheels are 36?

I built my 2014 yz250f rear wheel with the blue tusk hub (kept the stock spokes and rim). Ran it all year, no issues. Glad to see a low cost hub with some quality. Anyone know if/when the 2014/2015 front hubs are due out??

I've had TCR/A60 wheels before - good setup, no issues. I was nervous about trying TUSK hubs because I had a complete DNA set a few years ago. (Also chinese) DNA wheels are complete trash - Spokes needed tightened constantly, new flat spots in the rims daily, poor anodizing. I wouldn't run DNA again if someone gave them to me for free.

Are 2014-5 hubs different than earlier years?

From what I understand, its a larger diameter axle in the front. So the outer diameter of the bearing increases and changes the hub.

I called rockymountain a few times throughout the summer, it seems that the parts are overdue from the supplier.

I would love to know exactly how much more they weigh than stock Kawi or Suzuki wheels.

I was super concerned about weight since i was putting them on a 125.. so threw them on a fancy digital scale and the front was half pound lighter and the rear was EXACTLY the same as my stocker.. and this is mounted with heavy duty tubes..

I love em..

Yes, If it's a decent amount of mud.

Used to do a lot of mud races when I was younger (western washington problems), my dad would wash my bike before each moto and the bike always felt crazy awesome for the first few corners.

We're talking about like 20 pounds of mud tho lol.
