Are there really 2 Atlanta races in a row?

They can't even break em up a little? I'm guessing the 2nd one will be empty seats galore?

Dave Prater said that they wanted to break up the weekends but this year it just didn't work out. Hopefully in the future that will happen.

This does make for an awesome winter MX vacation, SX on the way down and back with a week of riding all over the place down there!

But yeah, for the typical fan two weeks in a row is a bit much, especially if it's a dad buying a bunch of tickets/food/etc for kids.

Seriously, would this still work?

It used to work well at Pontiac but that was ages ago. Wouldn't the overhead of a double header be less than two separate events? If the crowds were good that would equate to more money made by Feld AND less travel expense for the riders. I doubt they would ever do this again but if the markets started shrinking they could always go back to this.

They need to have some day races. Seriously what's wrong with day races? The NFL, MLB, etc all have games played during daytime.

not sure why it couldn't??? yeah exactly.......lower costs all around and could just do maybe 2 or 3 to give it a shot and increase the series to 20 events.......

Dirt is so good they gotta use it twice.
Bringing all that dirt in just once has got to save some dough.
I'm guessing that the dirt remained on site for A1,2 and 3

ATL 2 is retro night, I believe

ATL 2 may not have the same attendance as ATL 1, but for any hardcore fan that's been going to ATL SX for years now, they would surely want to attend the first "ATL 2" in my opinion

Explain to me why my tickets to both events are feb 21 and feb28 ? That sure seems to be n row unless there's an unscheduled race during the week between the events . From the people I know going to race there's alot going to both n rest are split on which so I think-hope races will do well
