I guess RC will know how Stewart felt last night.re:RC and Emig on last week, if RC was butthurt by Reed I wonder how this will go over.

dbo360Looks like they're already working on next year's track for Daytona. Too soon? #chicanetotheleft
dg533Looks better.
elementmx^seriously! One of the worst tracks I've ever seen
01bamfGoat trail through most of track....wasn't there like one lead change between both mains....
crippa7seven@badtax
jc53_jack_carriggGreat passing
rynoglobalYa the same dude who designed the monster cup goat trail did the Daytona trail - just because you are good at racing a motorcycle doesn't mean you are good at everything ! As you can see.
t_baum88@jl563
jeremymcgrath2 I must agree @rynoglobal

Ryan Hughes and Jeremy McGrath in that same timeline basically, well not basically, they said Carmicheal is not good at designing tracks and that this last one was just more proof of that

That's what I was showing but the last few lines kept disappearing, I put it back for the third time. I think RCs people have a delete button???

Track building is a fine art for sure. Anyone who's built their own knows. I personally dug the Gary Bailey designed tracks the most but they were a tad on the extremely gnarly side.

Not one area where a pass could be made. Tight like a ballon knot

I thought it was a little tight as well. Some of the switchbacks were very one lined and other sections seemed to be abrupt. But I've also never been behind a dozer, nor laid the schematics of an SX blueprint.

We discussed this topic and a few more quick notes over at www.pluggedmoto.com. Hope anyone who takes the time to read enjoys it.

It would be good to have tracks where someone can pass another !! Smile Sorry RC but this track sucked big time. In saying that 2 of my fav riders got first and second, so on one hand I was pleased it sucked ! lol

It was terrible. Take the inside every single time and don't make mistakes and it was near impossible to make a pass. Just a done of tight 180 turns one after the other. Awful.

Hey RC, your track sucks.

Stop being a whiner, why don't you ask MC.

Uh, he's the one who asked me to tell you.

So the 250 class had some of the tightest racing of the year, as well as the 450 class...but the track sucked? Imagine how 'boring' it would have been if Martin passed Malcolm early and checked out...

Yep.. It sucked. They were all bunched up together, because there weren't many passing lanes. Imagine if they could of passed each other back and forth a few times, then it would of been... EPIC.

How many passes did you see?

Certainly lots of close follow the leader "racing"... fuck all passes though, and even less chances to try them.

I saw 3 people pass Malcolm in the main.

Again, if the track was wide open...the typical guys would have checked out and everybody would bitch that the racing isn't 'tight enough'...

Right at the end of the broadcast Ralf says to Ricky "Another great race track design", & Ricky says "Ah, thank you, it was a little tight".

What made me laugh was the amount of dirt and work to make the narrowest bowl turn possible. Just before the finish line.....a couple guys actually went up there but nobody on this planet could rail it. Just wait your turn to go through the 2 foot deep one lined channel.....no need to steer

You saw them pass... because Malcolm made obvious mistakes that made it those passes possible. It wasn't just because they were faster.

Track sucked.. plain and simple. Whoops? Terrible whoop section too.

I will pay $100 to have them let me design the track, and I can guarantee you it will be way better than what RC did.

Give me a chance. I have sent some ideas to Dirt Wurx before too, don't know if they ever used anything or not. I have been designing tracks on paper since I was 5 years old (over 20 years). Contemplating a design now for my pit bikes.

Thanks for your input... I'm sure Dirt Wurx is checking their mail daily...waiting for your next sweet ass design.

And you'd pay them a whole $100....whoa, big money!

Shouldn't have to pay anything to design the track. RC good racer, not a good track designer...not even okay.

Give me a chance...might be surprised. I can guarantee you it would be better than Saturday nights track.

The track sucked and was a one lined disgrace. It was hard for me to stay awake during the races because it was boring. Daytona just keeps going downhill for supercross racing every year. I am sure Feld and Monster Energy would love to see Daytona be dropped from the schedule. If their is a problem just follow the money. Isn't RC sponsored by Monster Energy?

After this last track I hope RC never designs another track again. What a waste of a great venue. I feel bad for all the money spent to put on an event and the track design looks like something in someones backyard.

RC went full retard on this track and you can never go full retard.

As soon as I heard RC mention "tight and slower" I cringed. The dirt there is not conducive in the least to those little ticky tack back and forth chicane sections that he broke up the flow with. Daytona as a track has been on a serious downhill slide for some years now and this was the most craptastic of them all imho.

Wasn't the best Daytona. Track was hard to pass, tape delayed, no semis, and the camera filmed a lapper instead of Tomac on the finish line jump.
