That is what the RAW method stood for. Had some of my best moto's in '83 Texas Series in the 250 expert class while using RAW.
I think it was a product that Mel Newman developed or endorsed.

1983 I recall listening (good old cassette days) whilst trying to improve my results on my KX80. From what I recall it was ahead of its time helping you "train" for the metal side of MX. But I guess I did not listen enough.

true story a friend of mine was using RAW and was so relaxed that he pulled the above novice move at Ponca one year.
