I can't get that wreck out of my head. I'm all for the patriotism and seeing great battles , and the last thing I want to see is one the riders get hurt. Here is to hoping he'll be ok. Heal up soon Max!

Same here, pumped about our 4th Place finish but that crash spoiled my mood pretty good. Glad it is only a shoulder blade. Get well soon Anstie.

Just hope that he's not out of action too long because of it, Its a shame with the season he had with early mechanical dnfs that turned around and had him in the chase for the championship at one point.

Be good to see him on a different team and bike next season

Like Canard and Townley, injuries seem to follow Max around like a black cloud.

that bike has been ridiculous this year, how many time s has it blew ,and had dnf s. from what i heard its a 3 speed 16000 rpm 250 f . sure it might be a rocketship but what s the point .if it cant be kept going

Strangely enough I think he's only had a single mechanical DNF in the 36 motos run this year.

That was the YZF250 that DIxon were running before.

I heard Max stalled it in the corner and was bump starting it down the hill.

I heard Simpson got landed on too, broke his hand and is also out. Not sure about that, but if so I hope Barcia wasn't responsible for that....since he was the one following him on that last lap that it happened.

not sure the exact number but its way more than once , when you count quli races and brit champs too

i read an interview , and they said they were running 3 speed or 4 speed box s ,it was even in pit bit last wk

You all need to re-watch the race at 17 min left in the moto Anstie starts to fall down the order he was falling into the high 20's Marvin was heading up the hill after lapping Antsie so whatever happened to him it was way before the crash as he had just gotten lapped.

Why would anyone dream of running a 4 speed transmission on a high strung 250F aka grenade? More so for a 3 speed! I get using a 3 or 4 speed on an open bike (450F) because those pull so hard but a 250F? ?

the cosworth yamaha engine were 3 speed and raving to 18,000 rpm

Those well built factory 250f's are putting out 50hp. And on a bike that light it shouldn't be an issue. Many factory bikes through the years have used 3 -4 speed tranny's.

The year Ferris was pulling holeshot at the MXoN or pretty much pulling them he was on a the three speed Yamaha 250F!

It is amazing what these teams can do with the bikes when they can do what ever they want to them.

ALso hope Anstie has a quick recovery that was a nasty crash.

Pretty crazy video floating around of how they got him off the track as well!

Heard its definitely a broken Scapula and they're going to do some further scans of his neck when the specialist is in today. I imagine he feels like hes been run over by a tank this morning. Still gotta be grateful it wasn't worse. I literally used to have nightmares about that scenario when I was racing.

Just saw this on twitter from mxvice:

Update: Just spoke to Max’s mum and Max has broke his scapula (shoulder blade) and they are keeping an eye on his neck until a specialist comes in tomorrow to double check his neck and hopefully give Max the all clear tomorrow.

The crazy thing is, they can go down to a 2 speed gearbox (according to the mostbrecent PitBits).

The Dixon 2013 yz250f was 3spd, 52bhp and only 95kg. Would have been an interesting bike to test ride.

He stalled it in the corner at the top of the hill, the Qualifiers are only twenty minutes long remember so it happened on the second or third lap.
