I watched all four motos. I knew he went down, caused the red flag, but if there were many more details then I just missed it. When I opened this thread OP's post was the first I saw that it could be serious.
Didn't see anyone airlifted—at least not before the end of 450s. Was at the other end of the track so didn't witness anything, but it did take a while for the 450s to start. Ugh.
I happened to be sitting on the hill in that corner looking right down at that exit. I missed the initial start of the crash, saw the ending of it... It was violent looking and he ended up underneath his bike. I wish him the best and prayers for sure go out to him and his family and friends.
Huge props to the 600 number guy (maybe Cody Williams 677?) as he stopped his race to get Nelsons bike off of him. (this was before he had seen the red flags that the race was over). Good on him.

First off, I sure hope Nelson is OK, he is such a nice kid and has had a tough couple years.
600 hundred guy-
I saw Tim Weigand do the same thing after the 1st turn (Taledega ) at Glen Helen after the start of a national race. Josh LaFountaine had crashed after getting a great start and he was trapped under the bike and getting burned by the pipe. I was running up the start straight to help him and Timmy flipped a bitch after a bad start and jumped off his bike to help Josh get out from under the bike. Timmy became a great guy in my book.... He ended up buying a house around the corner from me and is Still a great dude today !!

There should be a monetary award for guys like this who do the right thing...like a grand.

Do you remember what they did, like backboard or anything?
I was there but didn't witness the crash. I was over by gravity cavity for the 2nd motos. I saw someone riding his bike back to the outs but didn't see the mule with him on it. Cory Schock was on a backboard at the beginning of the first Moto. Anyone hear anything about him? I was able to see Coty moving his arms and talking to the medics but I know he didn't move after he went down.
I'll post the video here since this is a smaller forum and I think we aren't viewing for morbid reason, mainly want to analyze HOW he crashed. Look like he cross ruts and highsides over the right side. Slams pretty hard into the ground. Neck or brain injury. I hope he is going to be okay. The wreck happens around 54 seconds in.

Coty is at the hospital with a broken wrist and injured back. He's in good spirits from what I see on social. Such a good day but a bad one for him for sure.
He was the one down in regards to the red flag, right? Thats all I know.
