Whoa...Do they go up every year or am I just getting more frugal? I'll check the local Yamaha dealers...

I paid $42 for club level seats for the "Perfect Storm" mudder of 2005. Bubba's first race in the premier class.

Yes they just keep going up.
We drove down from Big Bear that day in 05. Crazy snow and rain. A couple MCM2 team members flew out from back east to finally meet them. We all loved the mud fest.

75percent increase in Indianapolis too.
Not cool cash in while you can becuse nascar did the same thing now the tickets are back down and so is attendance.
Sadly this is the biggest story of the season a 75 percent increase and the promoters dont care about the fans.
Bull crap!!!!!!!

I am out on the Dallas SX. I believe they charge about $40 to park. . . Even if the tickets are $25 a piece, the parking prices me out. I refuse to support the Jones' family at those prices.

It's funny/odd the way Jerry has built that stadium and priced the tickets for football. He has the tickets jacked pretty high even for the upper decks. It has priced out the lower waged, careless, PBR drinking die hard fans who are create the most noise. With higher prices comes a more sophisticated crowd. Those fans for the most part don't get very loud so the vibe in the stadium is more of a tennis match than a loud football venue.

I hope you're right about ticket prices coming back down.

Luckily Atlanta has stayed about the same since 99, but I am really worried that we are going to see a major drop in attendance next year. I wonder what the reason is for the major price increase, I hope Feld isn't dumb enough to think that our little sport can charge the same amount as football, Nascar, etc. and think they will sell out stadiums

Hey, I'm not against buying tickets. It's an awesome show for sure!

I can't throw-down for the the club level at $104 a pop, but even the nosebleeds are a good time.

Yes, and the box will easily pay for itself if we get the right 'guests' in the door!

I find a little humor in this. Here we have a thread everyone is agreeing we are getting priced out of going to watch our favorite sport live in person.

However, In the Seven gear thread, everyone seems to agree this is a rich man's sport now and if you can't afford to spend $300 on gear, you are in the wrong sport (and likely a wussy from the tone).

The irony and hipocracy was worthy of a responseLaughing I agree with the OP and everyone with their head on straight in this thread.. I am priced out of going to to the SXs anymore either. It isn't just the ticket prices, but the combination of all of the expenses that does me in.

SX is more my wifes thing than mine. She looked them up and paid for them.

I kinda see some humor here too as people will waste time and money on completely useless bling, graphics, powder coated nipples and the latest flashy riding gear to look good while going slow (self included) but gripe about ticket prices.

Spending money on items you get to keep and use like gear and such is justifiable and also you can choose different price points as your budget allows.
Ticket prices could increase some if they lost sponsor dollars(which they didn't)
Or lost tv revenue which they didn't. But an increase of 125 percent is just screwing the fans.
I usually take some people who ride and love it but cant afford it now I cant spend that much more.

If ticket prices are getting too much for us serious fans, what's it like for the average Joe casual fan?
8/23/2014 6:50pm
All entertainment is getting like this. There have been several concerts I thought about going to but decided it wasn't worth it for the ridiculous prices. If it is worth it to you buy the ticket if not there are million other ways to spend your time and money. Free on tv is hard to beat and you don't have to put up with all the jackasses and screaming.

I would go see Rush and Tom Petty but wont pay 150.00 plus a ticket for other bands I could download or buy several cds instead of spending 300.00 on a pair of tickets.

You know they moved it to Petco Park, right? I haven't checked prices, but it will certainly be more than Jack Murphy Stadium

Anaheim 1:
300s = 107 $
100-200s = 77 $
400s = 60 $
500s = 50 $

What a joke. I am hoping Yamato dealers have them for much less.

Expect San Diego to be very close to that... It is going to be a lot more expensive to run the race at Petco than "The Jack."

I am looking at the prices for Petco but I don't know the seating seating arrangement there. It's 97 to 25
