Does anyone have any closeup pics of the Alta bike Josh Hill was running at Straight Rhythm? I had heard/read (maybe heard on Pulp) that they were going to do it all up with Ti bolts, axles, etc....just curious how it look in full race trim.

Thanks!

Alta should just go ahead and throw as much money as possible at Roger to come work for them.

Just casually walk up to him at A1 with a stainless steel briefcase. "Inside, you will find a blank check and a Garth Brooks greatest hits album. I trust you will make the right choice. Good day to you, Mr. The Man."

Stranger things have happened, but I doubt it. They are developing their own.

I would think Alta would want KTM to know as little as possible, unless Altas's ultimate goal is a buy out. Just guesses on my part.

yeah there's a connection for sure. KTM has parts for sale and Alta has money.

You can buy them now. KTM will figure it out.

KTM parts?
WP suspension..
Brembo brakes...
Honda fender..

KTM E-bike is for hobby rider who rides trails or small tracks. Like RC cars and
other things more power need better electrics, cooling, batteries.. that just costs more.
KTM is like normal car Company that wants to spend 500e buildin bike and sell it for 10000e not
like Alta where bike costs 7000e to build and sell 10000e. Alta is just Tesla of motobikes and i like it.

Bike looks good. The only things that I don't like in the bike are too small and weirdly shaped rear number plates.

I think swing arm, linkage and triple clamps on the bike are also made by WP

Swingarm, back axle and the fact they are using other vendors that ktm does. Very similar look.

Best thing Alta could do to get some more hype around these bike's is to make an off roader for hunter's and send one to Roman Atwood to include one in his video's, make it a rideable for everyone and make it for general use instead of sport use first.

I heard an exciting prospect with an interview with one of the KTM brass..

He said they were in talks to open up some ski resorts to electric bikes in the summers...

Personally, I cant wait to see where this all leads.

Yeah, they forgot the fuel tank and airbox, too.

That's the future right there, boys. They are early, but the learning curve will flatten out considerably as they advance.
Any time one sees The Man taking an interest in something, one would be wise to pay attention. The Man doesn't seem to waste his time. Thanks for the pics, btw.

Talking with the guys from Alta, they said that while the production bike tips the scales at around 250 pounds, that riders tell them that because it doesn't have a lot of the same rotating weight as a combustion engine, or a fuel tank, airbox and exhaust, that it feels lighter.

They did have Hill's bike lightened up with some titanium hardware, and things like ti brake rotors.

As it stands now, as battery tech improves and the Alta loses 25 pounds or so, that's it - game over, Electric Bike is now superior, now question about it.

Until battery tech get better, smaller, replaceable modular battery is the way to go.

For 99% of racers/ track riders that is the solution. If I could get 4 20 min motos out of 2 batteries in a day. I'd be all good with that.
