I really hope he does. He should have migrated to MXGP years ago

Awesome, good to see him back in Europe. Certainly capable of getting in the mix, especially on a track like Matterley. Can't wait, only 3 weeks to go

The real question is who will get the holeshot. Alessi or Nagl?

Top 5, realistically top 3.
So he is on par with Ryan Villopoto?

I would say a 5th to 10th place at best, especially in his first couple of races.

Would be cool to see him there pushing Desalle, Nagl and a fit Cairoli and RV, but I just don't see it.

Agreed. 10-15th I think. The Gp riders are full speed in the season now. Paulin is in the mix now too.

Top 5, realistically top 3.
This has to be troll fishing right?

RV has been only a top 5 guy on average, however Alessi is going to go there and be a top 3???

The bait is strong with that cast....

I have thought for a long time that MA's riding style would be well suited to the tracks over there.
Will be fun reading the comments on here if he does well.
Hope to see him in the mix at the front.

Yeah great news. I reckon somewhere in the 5th to 10th range (or just outside the top 10). Will be cool to see either way, the more the merrier.

As I said I hope he does well...I think if he cracks the top 10 overall he would be doing good . I hope he surprises though.

If even RV is struggling with setup issues , I can only imagine how difficult it will be for Mike. I don't think he is famous for his testing abilities.

I think being in the top 10 is a realistic target for him. Matterley Basin should suit him, and we know that he will get good starts. I hope he does well

It'll be interesting, for sure. I foresee him filling a spot in the seventh to tenth range at Matterley Basin.

I haven't heard much about his plans after the British and French GPs, but he's obviously not going for a title this summer (the French round clashes with the first CMRC round). If he won't race Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, MXGP is the best place for him.

Can't crack top 3???

He did get a moto win and an overall..granted he is not consistently top 3. That being said Alessi willl be 6-10 with a few a few flashes up front (3-5) in the beginning of the race.

Alessi will be first. Stamp it.

Into the first corner that is.

After that I am saying top 5.

Early in his career . I think his brother did too . Ten or so years ago ? And then of course the USGP at Glen Helen.

He will be doing very well if he gets in the top 10. Top 5 or even top 3, no way!

In 2005 both Mike and Jeff raced the final GP of the year in Ireland, in MX2.

Jeff went 13-5 and 5th overall.
Mike went 3-17 and 8th overall.

In 2010 Mike raced the Glen Helen GP in MX1, with 2-4 results he got 2nd overall.

Little known fact...Thursday is Tony Alessi's favorite day of the week....the guy lives in the past a bit. I like seeing the pictures and Mike seems like a good guy...but let's look forward a bit more Smile
